RHOBH's Kyle Richards & Mauricio Umansky Split After 27 Years Of Marriage!

Oh no! It’s the end of an era. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky have separated after nearly three decades of marriage.

A source broke the news to People on Monday that the couple secretly split quite some time ago:

“Kyle and Mauricio have been separated for a while now but are still living under the same roof. They remain amicable as they figure out what’s next for them and their family.”

Wow. This is devastating for fans of theirs, viewers of the Bravo hit, and believers in love. But we do take some solace from the fact they’re so amicable. Beyond just the insider saying so, it’s pretty clear they couldn’t live in the same home — even a big, fancy Beverly Hills one — if they weren’t really and truly still getting along. Not to mention the fact two reality stars being able to keep a secret, that’s a surefire sign they’re on the same page.

Kyle and Mauricio first met in a nightclub way back in 1994 — and things moved fast. By the end of that year they were engaged. They got married in January of 1996 and went on to have three children together: Alexia, 27, Sophia, 23 and Portia, 15. And of course we’ve been getting a peek into their lives since 2010 when they joined RHOBH — they were there right from the beginning. And now they’re not even going to make it to the end. Hard to believe.

The separation news come on the heels of a Housewives feud in which Dana Wilkey not-so-subtly implied Mauricio was having an affair with Dorit Kemsley. Most fans didn’t buy it, but… there were whispers the longtime couple’s marriage might be going through a rough patch for real.

Mauricio vehemently denied all the split rumors on an April episode of Two T’s In a Pod, the podcast hosted by fellow Bravo-lebrities Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave and Tamra Judge, assuring:

“We’re not getting divorced. I mean, it’s so dumb. That one stupid story that came out there, and then the girls all, you know, decided to talk about it on the Housewives, and so now it’s a storyline.”

Suddenly it all doesn’t look so dumb anymore. When he said he and Kyle would address the breakup talk on the next season of RHOBH, we didn’t dream it would be like this. Ouch.
