Taylor Swift brought back her tradition of hosting an iconic Fourth of July party with a few of her closet celebrity friends this year, and it appeared she had a ball! On Friday, the 33-year-old superstar took to social media to drop some images of the festivities, revealing she spent the day with her longtime friends Selena Gomez and Haim sisters Alana Haim, Este Haim, and Danielle Haim. Also in attendance were stylist Ashley Avignone and model Sydney Ness – who is rumored to be in a relationship with Taylor’s brother Austin Swift, per Nylon.

In the pictures, the group could be seen posing together during the party, which appeared to be at the songstress’ estate in Rhode Island. In one, they snapped a photo on the grass in front of a beautiful seascape. Another showed several polaroids of Taylor hugging Selena from behind, and the duo sharing a red, white, and blue popsicle. The polaroid shots also showed the ladies drinking wine and singing in the middle of the kitchen with wooden spoon as their microphones. And the last shot features a solo image of Taylor sitting down with the ocean in the background while wearing an off-the-shoulder patterned dress, a gold necklace, and her classic red lip. She captioned the pics:

Late last month, celebrity gossip account DeuxMoi posted a blind item to their Instagram page, not-so-subtly hinting at the celebrities’ budding romance:

“A recently separated Golden Globe winner whose show just premiered its second season is *casually* dating again.”

White, of course, has been going through a sudden separation from ex-wife Addison Timlin over the past few months, so that checks out. He also notably took home a Golden Globe earlier this year for his work in season one of The Bear — which just dropped its second season. The report continued:

“He met this A-List singer-actress during a cover shoot for Vanity Fair, and they’ve been in touch since she returned to the States from filming overseas.”

JerBear and Selly memorably appeared on Vanity Fair’s 2023 Hollywood cover together in February of this year, and the Lose You to Love Me singer also just returned to the States two weeks ago after filming her new film, Emilia Perez. She’d also been working on her fourth studio album in Paris.

These blind items ain’t so blind after all, LOLz!

The worst rated show in HBO history finally ended its ignominious five-episode run, and now that viewers have the entire series to consider, in toto, there are some THEORIES flying around. The ickiest? This is all The Weeknd’s disgusting Selena Gomez fan fiction!

OK, so we know the show was meant to be run by indie director Amy Seimetz, but she was replaced by Euphoria’s Sam Levinson. In a bombshell exposé, Rolling Stone heard from multiple production sources that Amy left the project with like 80% of the planned six episodes already filmed. Word was the issue was creative differences with The Weeknd, real name Abel Tesfaye, who reportedly thought the show had too much “female perspective.” Everything they had got thrown away, at a cost to HBO of an estimated $54-75 MILLION. Levinson was brought in to redo it, and the rest is TV history. HBO ended its run of highly acclaimed Sunday night fare with one of the worst reviewed shows on ANY network.

But was The Weeknd driving at something more than just silencing the feminine voice on the show? When he put the show back together with Levinson, was he trying to say something about a particular woman instead??

Some fans think this is Abel trying to get back at his ex, and they have some pretty compelling evidence for why Lily-Rose Depp’s character is supposed to represent her.

Here are all the things Jocelyn has in common with Selena Gomez. First, they’re both pop stars who started out as actors on kids’ TV shows. Obvi Selena was a child star on Wizards of Waverly Place, so it fits. Then again, that’s true of a lot of pop stars over the past few years: Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Britney Spears, just off the top of our heads. Both Joss and Selly have rocky relationships with their mothers. Again, not unique in child stardom. But it gets more specific. Selena dropped jaws with her Revival album cover — going topless was a big deal for the former Disney kid. Jocelyn did the same thing on The Idol.

Then when doing her comeback after canceling her tour in 2016, Selly returned the next year with a music video in which she wore sexy underwear paired with a distinct accessory — her hospital bracelet. Jocelyn did the same thing.

That song, Bad Liar, which was released during her relationship with Abel, also controversially featured sexy moans. In The Idol, Abel’s character, Tedros, coerces Joss into including real moans from their actual sex on her song.

Jocelyn’s BFF Leia is her personal assistant. And Tedros drives a wedge in between them by convincing her Leia is exploiting the friendship with a side business they’re getting into together.

Selena stans will recognize the dynamic between the Wolves singer and BFF Theresa Mingus. Selly often helps out Theresa’s swimwear brand La Mariette with promos on her peerlessly popular IG account.

And then Lily-Rose basically recreates Selena’s 2017 Instagram breakdown. Hey, isn’t 2017 when The Weeknd and Selena dated? Hmm…

If Tedros really is more than just an invention, if he’s The Weeknd’s self-insert character in a fictionalized version of ex Selena Gomez’s life, this is all of a sudden so much more gross.

Don’t get us wrong, novelists and filmmakers often tell semi-autobiographical stories — but this is a show that’s been called “torture porn” in which The Weeknd plays a character who constantly sexually abuses the girl everyone thinks is meant to represent his ex. This is like Justin Timberlake‘s Cry Me A River video on cocaine. Truly, truly icky.

In a new interview with Bloomberg‘s The Circuit out on Thursday, the Rhode Skin founder opened up about her longtime feud with Selena Gomez — whom she’s been pitted against for years now after both women were attached to Justin Bieber. Things reached a fever pitch earlier this year when Hailey was called out for seemingly bullying Selena.

The controversy led to fans doing a deep dive and finding what they believed was resurfaced evidence proving Hailey had doing a ton of shady s**t in her rumored war with her now-husband’s most famous ex. And yet… she insists none of this was EVER actually true!

When host Emily Chang subtly brought up the drama — without naming the Only Murders in the Building star, but clips of news stories played on the screen — the 26-year-old didn’t hesitate to name-drop the actress while putting the feud rumors on blast. She said:

“I don’t think that this is about me, Hailey Bieber, and Selena Gomez. This is not about this pitting between two women — it’s about the vile, disgusting hatred that can come from completely made-up and twisted, and perpetuated narratives that can be really dangerous.”

Just wanting the controversy to stop once and for all, the model continued:

“And I think that it’s an opportunity to really stand for bringing people together and not being okay with the kind of division that it caused, because I’m not okay with [it]. I don’t like this whole idea of team this person and team this person — I want to be able to bring people together and I think that it was a really important moment for people to see that you can do that and it doesn’t have to be about this whole divisive nature.”

We’re not totally sure Hailey and Selena have brought “people together” amid all this — at least in the way she’s implying. Sure, they’ve done their best to shut down negative comments and they even posed for a photo together to try and prove the feud was blown out of proportion, but that hasn’t stopped the commentary. She can dream, though!

The host agreed with Hailey’s thought process on this, though, saying it’s a “frustrating old narrative” of two women pitted against each other “because of a man.” This is exactly what bugs the socialite so much, she replied:

“I hate it. I’ve hated it since the beginning and it goes back to being misunderstood. Time and time again I say there is no issue and it’s so disappointing that people still behave this way over a man.”

Referencing her new beauty brand and her intentions for her career, she complained about the way the internet has a way of f**king up her plans and reputation, saying:

“I don’t want silly made-up drama to affect what I’m focusing and working on. There’s narratives that exist for me that really hurt my feelings and make me really upset.”

These days, she finds comfort in creating content she “has control over,” such as on her YouTube channel, where she finds the platform to be “really embracing and [a] positive space” unlike TikTok which tends to be “nasty” and “negative.” We don’t disagree that the haters can be really problematic — and they do need to cool it with death threats and the like!!! — but it might also help if Hailey just moved on. Continuing to speak on this topic is only going to make it seem like more of a problem than she claims it is.

The 30-year-old singer just ditched a whole host of pop stars and celebs over on Instagram. And now, fans are still trying to wrap their heads around why she chose to suddenly and unceremoniously unfollowed the A-listers!

Over the weekend, eagle-eyed fans began noticing that Selena had dropped a few notable names from her follow list. As of Monday morning, the Wizards of Waverly Place alum — who boasts more than 424 million followers on the platform — is following back just 247 accounts. That’s a few less than the 250+ she had before the weekend, tho!!

Per Page Six, Selena hit the unfollow button on Zayn Malik, Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid, and Dua Lipa over the first official weekend of the summer. A check of her account on Monday AM confirms Zayn, Gigi, and Bella are still gone. But interestingly, Selena appears to have re-followed Dua Lipa once again, and the singer is now at the top of Selena’s page. So maybe she dropped the Levitating crooner by mistake or something?!

And yes, before you even have to ask, Selena is still following Hailey Bieber as of Monday morning. Their whole s**t show of a social media spat earlier this year was definitely contentious when it occurred. But it would seem that tense time is still firmly planted in the past. At least we hope…

Regardless, there are some other interesting dynamics at play. Social media rumors earlier this year put Selena and Zayn in some sort of casual dating situationship. She and the former One Direction member were said to have gone on a few dates back in the spring, and eyewitnesses even claimed to have seen them kissing during an NYC outing way back in March.

That didn’t last, though. And Selena officially declared she was “single” in recent weeks. Besides, it appeared pretty casual even as it was going on. And anyways, that all went down months ago. So why the unfollow spree now??

The severed social media connection to the Hadid gals is unclear, too. Of course, Zayn is the father to ex Gigi’s two-year-old daughter Khai, so the former boy band star and the 28-year-old supermodel are forever connected. Perhaps their longstanding link is a reason the Same Old Love songstress dumped the Hadids?

Also, FWIW, Taylor Swift is close pals with Gigi and was just recently spotted with her, too. And thus, the plot thickens…

As for Selena, she’s no stranger to public feuds. In addition to the drama with Hailey and Kylie Jenner earlier this year, the pop star infamously had a very unfortunate falling out with former BFF Francia Raísa.

However, the Only Murders In The Building star — who suffers from lupus — allegedly continued to drink alcohol afterwards, souring their relationship. Selena still follows Francia as of Monday morning, tho. For whatever that’s worth!

The Nickelodeon child star appeared on the Zach Sang Show last Friday, where he looked back on his early days in the limelight and some of the friends he made along the way. Funny enough, the 28-year-old, podcast host Zach, and Jake, who memorably played Selena Gomez’s little brother on Disney Channel’s Wizards of Waverly Place, apparently all went to high school together — and boy, do the latter two have the stories to prove it.

While reflecting on an encounter he had with Jake as a teen, he remembered a time when the Disney star actually asked him to help him pass a drug test! He dished:

“Jake T. Austin came to my high school and my one memory of going to high school with him was that he asked me to pee in a cup for him to give it to his drug — he was getting drug tested for his show or something.”

OMG! Jake!!

Nat added:

“So, you know, he owes me, because I did pee in a cup for him and I think he passed it.”

Talk about a true Disney and Nickelodeon crossover event, LOLz!

Zach then shared his own memory of Jake, remembering him as “crazy.” He shared:

“God, he was crazy. I forgot that he went to that school and then he wanted to fight me one time at a party.”

The wildness doesn’t end there, though… Nat shared that there was also a time where The Fosters star tried to enlist his help for a heist from the set of his show:

“I remember vaguely, I mean, he never tried to fight me, he was always really sweet to me, I would have had your back for sure Zach. I do remember him saying, ‘Hey man, I’m working on this set,’ I was in LA, he was doing this show.”

He added that the show in question was “post-Wizards,” and he wanted a bit of help stealing some set furniture:

“He was saying, ‘I need to get some furniture, so I’m going to steal some furniture off the set. Do you want to help me steal some furniture off the set?’ And I said, ‘That sounds illegal, and I’m not going to do that.’ But I remember one of my other friends did help him take like a desk or something, and he got caught trying to take the desk. He was like, ‘They don’t even use it, it’s there for the whole year, I’ll bring it back before the next season.’”

He added:

“That’s a true story.”

As we all know, the model’s been embroiled in a messy feud with Selena Gomez ever since linking up with Justin Bieber — mostly thanks to their fans who have pitted them against each other. The drama reached a fever pitch earlier this year when Hailey was called out for being a “mean girl” and seemingly making fun of the Emmy nominee, leading both women to (attempt to) stop their fans from continuing to dig up the same old hate-filled narrative time and time again. Hailey’s also been going out of her way to show support for the Only Murders in the Building star, such as by liking one of her most recent Instagram posts earlier this week. Unfortunately, it didn’t work!

While the Rhode Beauty founder may have liked the pics, which were snapped in Paris, her fans did NOT! The Lose You To Love Me vocalist’s page was flooded with nasty comments, in which haters called her “jealous” and claimed she was “copying” the 26-year-old’s style, among way worse insults!

Noticing the hate, the beauty guru hopped onto her own IG Story to CALL OUT all her supporters, she wrote on Monday night:

“If you’re leaving mean or rude comments on my behalf on anyone’s posts just know that I don’t want that, nor do I ever or will I ever support or condone hateful, mean, or nasty comments.”

Making her stance very clear on online bullying, she added:

“Doing that is not supporting me. If you are participating in that you are a part of a culture that I want no part of. Please be nice or don’t say anything.”

Simple as that!

At this time, the Disney Channel alum hasn’t addressed the continued feud rumors, but it’s still nice to see Hailey shutting down her own followers. When Selenators were targeting JB’s wifey, the actress was quick to put an end to the negativity while begging her diehards to be more considerate of others’ feelings, she said in March:

“Hailey Bieber reached out to me and let me know that she has been receiving death threats and such hateful negatively. This isn’t what I stand for. No one should have to experience hate or bullying. I’ve always advocated for kindness and really want this all to stop.”

Death threats are NEVER okay!! We commend both celebs for putting their differences aside and sticking up for the other when they’re being s**t on by fans!

While social media is an incredible way to connect and build community, moments like this only create extreme division instead of bringing people together.

Things can be taken out of context or construed differently than they were intended. We all need to be more thoughtful about what we post and what we say, including myself. In the end I believe love will always be bigger than hate and negativity and there is always an opportunity to meet each other with more empathy or compassion.”

Sunday, Selena took to the photo sharing app to show off a new carousel of pics snapped by photographer Hunter Moreno, which she captioned, “Crazy about you paris.”

There’s a lot to like about the pics, for sure, like the Rare Beauty founder’s perfect glam, her cool, Christian Dior sweater, her tulle skirt, or her little black bag and gold hoop earrings to accessorize. Look!

But it wasn’t the haute couture that had fans excited. Eagle-eyed followers quickly pointed out that Mrs. Bieber herself dropped a like! This is a pretty big — and very public — show of support for Selena, who dated Justin Bieber on and off for years before he settled down with Hailey.

This, of course, also comes off the back of some more recent public reigniting of the feud on Hailey’s part. She and pals Kylie Jenner and Justin Skye seemingly poked fun at the Only Murders in the Building star’s eyebrows. When fans picked up on it, they realized there seemed to be more subtle jabs going back months. From there, as you probably recall, the internet took Selena’s side, and, yeah… let’s just say it wasn’t pretty for Hailey there for a while. That was until Hailey reportedly reached out to Selena asking for peace back in March.

At the time, the Love You Like a Love Song singer took to IG to call off all the fans who had begun taking things much too far, apparently dealing out “death threats” to JB’s wife. Selena wrote:

“Hailey Bieber reached out to me and let me know that she has been receiving death threats and such hateful negativity. This isn’t what I stand for. No one should have to experience hate or bullying. I’ve always advocated for kindness and really want this all to stop.”

She then followed the 26-year-old on IG as a show of support, before Hailey did the same in return and also dropped a statement of her own:

“I want to thank Selena for speaking out, as her and I have been discussing the last few weeks how to move past this ongoing narrative between her and I. The last few weeks have been very hard for everyone involved and millions of people are seeing so much hate around this which is extremely harmful. Well, it’s just great to see that three months later, they’re still keeping the peace. We have to give it up to Hailey. Hitting “like” may seem like the literal least she could do, but for someone who was infamously not-so-cool with Selener for YEARS to show love like this, it’s a big step.
