Brennan Ray and Angell Hammersmith posted a heart-wrenching video last week of their young neighbor Shayden Walker, who got up the courage to go to ask if they knew anyone he could be friends with. In the clip from the couple’s doorbell camera, he could be seen wearing a Jaws tee and shuffling nervously on the front steps of their home in Amarillo, Texas. When Brennan answered the door, Shayden asked:

“Hi. I just wanted to see if you knew any kids around like, 11 or 12, maybe, because I need some friends. Like, really bad.”

Brennan then directed him toward another house down the street where a few kids lived. However, Shayden immediately turned that idea down for a heartbreaking reason. He explained to Brennan that those kids down the street aren’t his friends anymore because they bullied him. The boy then asked his neighbor if he had any children. Brennan did – but he had a 2-year-old daughter. That didn’t deter Shayden, who replied:

“Oh, OK that’s great. I love 2-year-olds to be honest. They’re just the most cutest things I have ever known. I used to have a 2-year-old sister. She was a handful, but I really enjoyed having spending time with her.”

Our hearts just break for Shayden! That was really brave of him for asking. A part-two video posted by the couple showed that Shayden had approached their house 30 minutes before this interaction. However, he seemingly became nervous and turned away. And now, Brennan and Angell decided to do something nice for him to make him “feel special.”

The pair’s initial video quickly went viral, with more than 66 million views and 10 million likes, so they decided to launch a GoFundMe for the kid to help him make friends. They set the goal to $7,000, explaining that the money would get him a gaming system, school clothes, and possibly some amusement park tickets.

But Shayden’s story tugged at the heartstrings of many people. With an outpouring of support, Angell and Brennan blew their donation goal out of the park and raised more than $37,000 for the child! That’s amazing! The duo posted in the GoFundMe:

“Thank you all for your generosity and kindness! We expected to see support from this community but we’re shocked and amazed by how everyone’s shown up for Shayden. We decided to turn off donations while we coordinate with his family, but all funds will stay in the GoFundMe account until then. We’ll keep you updated along the way. Thank you! #kindnessmatters”

In another Tiktok video, Brennan and Angell express how they were “thankful” for everyone’s generosity and shared that they were going to meet Shayden soon.

As Perezcious readers may recall, back in April, the Hurricane rapper was sued over how things were reportedly running at Donda Academy. At that time, that first lawsuit alleged racial discrimination, bizarre management, and unsafe conditions inside the school. And now, there’s a second lawsuit winding its way through court alleging even more wild claims!!

On Thursday, a former gym teacher at the controversial academy filed a lawsuit with a Los Angeles-area court. In that filing, per Billboard, ex-gym instructor Isaiah Meadows claims he was unfairly fired after he “raised concerns about inconsistent pay and serious health and safety issues.”

Those concerns run the gamut of issues around the school. Per the outlet, they include issues with “overflowing septic tanks and dangerous electrical fires.” But beyond the allegedly dangerous conditions inside the school building — which are obviously bad enough in their own right — Meadows’ suit paints a picture of a very bizarre set-up supposedly orchestrated by Ye himself.

In one case, Meadows claims, Donda Academy students were left “exposed to the elements” inside the school building because the Chicago-born rapper “did not like glass.” As in, Donda supposedly had no glass inside its window frames by Ye’s directive — just totally open air!

WTF?!?!

Meadows’ suit states:

“In the middle of the main classroom, a skylight was left without glass inevitably allowing rain to fall directly inside, where water would soak into the floor, which would lead to a moldy smell for the next few days. The skylight was intentionally without glass because WEST expressed that he did not like glass.”

The Jesus Walks rapper supposedly didn’t like glass?! What’s there not to like about glass?? It’s see-through! It’s just… there! You don’t even really think about it!!

Meadows’ suit went deeper, too, as we referenced above. In another part of the filing, he claimed the school had “serious wiring issues” in its electrical set-up. One notable incident occurred when Meadows claimed an electrical fire “sparked near the student eating area where a wire was laid atop the ground, exposed.” OMG… And plumbing was apparently a problem, as well. Meadows’ suit asserts the school’s septic tank would “overflow every other day, causing a terrible smell.”

Gross!!

The ex-gym teacher’s attorney also released a statement after he filed the case on Thursday. Ron Zambrano, who represents the former instructor in the suit, said it is his intention to make Donda Academy face their “absolutely egregious” working conditions in order to “hold them accountable.”

Zambrano continued:

“The unlawful and retaliatory behavior by Mr. West and the school directors have now been documented multiple times by other former employees who never even worked together but all experienced the same horrendous treatment and witnessed the same serious health, safety and education code violations, while all were subjected to the same fate.”

Per Billboard, the lawsuit seeks damages due to alleged breach of contract, as well as the violation of several California labor laws including wage issues, improper classification, and wrongful termination. According to that outlet, neither West nor the school itself have commented on the matter.

As you know, the 36-year-old YouTuber, known for her character Miranda Sings, has been under fire lately after allegations of grooming young fans, racism, and more have come out. Things are not looking good for her, especially as yet another person has come forward with their horrific experience with Colleen when they were just a minor. Someone named Grant took to TikTok on Tuesday after realizing he was a “Miranda Sings victim.” The social media user recalled how he went to one of her shows when he was 15 years old and was called up on stage to perform a skit with Colleen on “what to do on a first date.”

Grant included a video of their onstage bit, which showed Colleen inappropriately flirting with the teen. She also put a bag of Cheetos down her pants, and had him grab some at one point. So, so wrong. And that’s not all. Colleen then had him kiss her on the cheek and called him “attractive.” Yeah, she did this with a 15-year-old. Looking back, Grant definitely realized how “inappropriate” the moment was:

“Looking back, I don’t have any negative feelings toward it. I was very much in on it and loved the attention. But I would never – if I was in her position – I would never call a minor up onstage and say and do some of the stuff that she did. Never. I’m glad that in my brain then I was confident enough to know that this is a bit, we’re just acting, we’re entertaining people. But still, that is so inappropriate. She even says she’s not a pedophile, crazy.”

ICYMI, last week the Houston Police Department were called to a southwest Houston church after a passerby noticed an unconscious man lying on the ground outside. When they responded to the scene, they reportedly found an item on the man that had family identification on it, and were able to contact his family. Shockingly enough, hours later they found out this man was none other than Rudolph “Rudy” Farias — a man who had gone missing way back in 2015 — when he was only 17 years old.

Multiple outlets reported the story of what happened back when Rudy first vanished, and it seemed like a miraculous ending. Apparently he had gone out to walk his dogs in his northeastern Houston neighborhood — then his dogs returned to his home to his family, but he didn’t. His worried mother and contacted police and the Texas Center for the Missing, but to no avail. Janie Santana wouldn’t lay eyes on her son again until last Thursday — or at least that’s what she said.

Now her neighbors and people close to the investigation have conflicting reports…

According to one neighbor, Kisha Ross, Rudy wasn’t ever missing at all! She told ABC7 on Wednesday he was still regularly hanging out with her family all the time he was supposedly gone:

“He used to come in my garage, chill with my cousin, son, and daughter.”

She also said the now 25-year-old liked to go hang out in the woods by himself, adding:

“That boy has never been missing.”

What!?

But things only get more confusing… Broderick Conley, a cousin of Kisha’s, backed her up and said Rudy — or as they referred to him, Dolph — was a regular visitor at their home. They recall lots of “laughing” and “good times” with the supposedly missing man, even as recent as a few weeks ago. According to them, he only stopped coming over two weeks ago. So where has he been all this time? Oh, simple.

They say he STILL LIVES AT HOME WITH HIS MOM!!! Supposedly they hang out with him all the time, and don’t understand why anyone would report him missing.

Another anonymous neighbor also spoke to the outlet Wednesday, and claimed:

“I was just shocked someone over here was missing, and we see him.”

Rudy’s mom insists these neighbors are mistaken. She argues the man they were seeing and calling Dolph was Rudy’s cousin, and they were just confused. However, when a reporter showed the neighbors a photo of said cousin, they insist that’s not the man they know as Dolph.

WTF is going on…

Sadly, as previously reported, police aren’t able to get any information out of Rudy — he’s gone nonverbal according to doctors. Santana previously said he’s only able to get out a few words before he curls into the fetal position and “shuts down.” She also claimed to have concerns he may have been kidnapped, beaten, or even sold into sex trafficking. In a flyer regarding the search being over shortly after he was found, the family wrote:

“It’s him!!! It’s our Rudy. Rudy is in pretty bad shape, he has cuts, soft tissue tumors, small openings and swelling on the soles of his feet, along with bruising, old and new cuts/scrapes on his body, old dry blood on his head and hair, he has very very dark complexion now almost unrecognizable. It broke our hearts to see him in this condition. God only knows what he has endured during his time away from home. The note also mentions that he is in a lot of pain. He flinches if you try to touch him or hug him thinking we are going to strike him. He thinks his name is Julio Torres and he is 14 now.”

He thinks his name is Julio? And not Dolph?

So, so sad. The flyer also stated Rudy is suffering from PTSD, depression, and anxiety, as well as saying he attempted suicide.

The idea this story is actually one about a poor young man with mental health problems is sad, but it would make sense. What doesn’t is why his mother would fake his disappearance, lying to police and the press. Because if he’s been in that house the whole time, that’s exactly what she’s done.

It’s worth noting Santana only recently agreed to have her identity become public. Back in 2017, she spoke to ABC13 anonymously, citing that she was concerned her son’s disappearance was “suspicious” and she didn’t want her identity to be public. Is it possible she just didn’t want anyone to recognize her and realize she was lying? We’re so confused…

Police are due to try and talk to Rudy one-on-one today, so hopefully they’ll get some answers and get on their way to getting justice for him. We hope he’s able to heal and find peace very soon.

The (former?) close friends and podcast partners are at odds right now after all the accusations and allegations that have come out against Ballinger recently. And among those issues are new claims that the longtime Miranda Sings star on Youtube allegedly shared Paytas’ OnlyFans content with underage fans while shaming Trisha throughout.

On Monday, Paytas took to her YouTube channel to discuss the shocking and increasingly uncomfortable Ballinger situation. The duo had just recently launched their joint podcast Oversharing with Colleen Ballinger & Trisha Paytas. But judging by the Monday afternoon vid from Paytas, uhhh, that would appear to be going nowhere at this point.

In a video simply titled “colleen,” Paytas said she was first “unaware” of the allegations against Ballinger, and only recently learned of them to the point of being “shocked” by both the claims themselves and Ballinger’s already-infamous 10-minute ukulele song apology late last week.

Referencing the video and new allegations that Ballinger shared and shamed Paytas’ adult-themed content with underage fans, Trisha said:

“Her video came out, and I was just shocked to say the least that she didn’t at least acknowledge the stuff that her own fans were saying, how they felt. It’s a topic I don’t take lightly, and I can’t take lightly, as I am a full-time sex worker… We already have a lot of stigma, misconceptions, allegations against us as sex workers and so I need to nip this in the bud.”

That likely references newly-revealed Twitter posts like that from a ex-fan of Ballinger’s named Johnny Silvestri, who accused Colleen of sharing Paytas’ nude photos and mocking her OnlyFans content with fans behind Trisha’s back. You can see that NSFW tweet with screenshot accusations HERE.

Another Twitter user and YouTuber named Adam McIntyre also accused Ballinger of sending Paytas’ nude content when he was underage, as well. That second tweet allegation from late on Sunday night can also be seen HERE.

In both cases and more, Paytas slammed the situation, calling the illicit recordings and shame-sessions “viewing parties” with fans and reflecting on how violated and discarded she felt over the matter.

She said:

“I do not condone, at all, unsolicited nudes — sending unsolicited nudes to anybody, sex worker or not. I think using someone’s nudes as a way to hurt them, make fun of them, make light of them, be mean, is the lowest form of human.”

And Trisha added:

“These weren’t a long time ago. This is someone well into their 30s who just gave birth, sending nudes. And a month prior, I was in her house, meeting her newborn and doing a Mukbang with her.”

Paytas also slammed Ballinger’s ukulele apology video, saying:

“I don’t stand behind Colleen whatsoever. Her video was not an apology, and it took away from the severity of her actions of talking to minors, bringing minors on stage at her show. These people are speaking up and they’re uncomfortable for a reason. Acknowledge it, change it, do better.”

Trisha went on:

“It’s a lot. And it wasn’t just one occasion. There was multiple times that she sent different photos and different positions of me.”

And then she concluded:

“I will never speak on Colleen again. She just does not exist to me anymore.”

Rudolph “Rudy” Farias was only 17 years old when he went missing while walking his dogs. The strange disappearance left his family without answers for nearly a decade, but now they’re finally close to getting some. On March 6, 2015, Rudy was walking his two dogs in northeast Houston. Some time later, his two dogs returned home, but he never did.

The family was terrified when Rudy didn’t return home. They stressed at the time about his mental health, noting he was suffering from depression, PTSD, and anxiety due to losing his brother in a motorcycle accident in 2011. They searched everywhere they could, telling local news outlet KPRC on Monday that they “followed every lead” — but were never able to locate Rudy. But then, on Saturday, what the family is calling a “miracle” happened…

Rudy’s mother told ABC13, someone called police when they found her now 25-year-old son unconscious and unresponsive outside of a church in Houston. Eight years after he’d vanished without a trace, someone was able to finally return Rudy to his family. Just incredible.

Rudy was rushed to the hospital. He’s alive, but not well — he’s got a long road to recovery ahead of him. His mother explained said he’s covered in cuts and bruises, and there was blood matted in his hair. She believes whatever happened in these past eight years was traumatizing for her son, suggesting he’d been beaten and abused. She told the outlet she had concerns he was abducted and sold into sex trafficking.

Sadly, Rudy is unable to communicate, so the family aren’t yet getting the answers they’re looking for. His mother reports he can only say a few words before he goes into the fetal position and “shuts down completely,” via the outlet. They can’t get him to speak about what’s happened to him, so the family is still left with a lot of questions — and may be for a while. But the most important thing is their son is still alive — and they’re grateful.

His mom at one time worried losing his brother brought Rudy low enough to harm himself — but in an inspiring twist, she now believes the memory of him is what kept the kid fighting all these years. The 25-year-old was wearing his late bro’s necklace when he disappeared — and he still had it on when he was found. He held onto it all these years, despite whatever he went through. Whenever his mom tries to speak to him, she squeezes onto his necklace in belief it’s what kept him alive.

So, so touching.

Katie Sorensen, a California-based “momfluencer,” was sentenced to 90 days behind bars for lying about her children’s attempted kidnapping in 2020!

If you haven’t been following the story, back on December 7, 2020, Katie was at a Michaels craft store with her 1-year-old and 4-year-old children when she claimed a Latino couple attempted to snatch her little ones. She drove straight to the Petaluma Police Department to “report suspicious behavior exhibited by two adults (a man and woman) at a Michael’s craft store,” per the OG press release. The couple was later identified as Sadie and Eddie Martinez, who were in the store to buy Christmas decorations.

Several days after reporting the alleged kidnapping to the authorities, the content creator shared her story with around 57k followers on her Instagram account @motherhoodessentials_, which has now gone private. But her post included additional information she hadn’t told the cops, sparking an investigation into her claims.

She said in the video at the time:

“My children were the targets of an attempted kidnapping. I want to share that story with you in an effort as to what signs to look for and encourage parents to be more aware of their surroundings and what is going on around them.”

According to NBC News, the 30-year-old claimed the couple made comments about her kids before attempting to approach them in the store’s parking lot.

She also told KTVU that the man tried to reach into her stroller before she screamed for help. She noted:

“They didn’t look necessarily clean-cut.”

The IG video was viewed nearly 5 million times! It also led to her talking to a local news outlet, too.

But this so-called kidnapping, we’d later find out, wasn’t what it seemed. Police conducted a follow-up interview with Katie after her TV appearance (and during this time, she identified the couple), but her account contradicted the couple’s claims and security footage from the store proving there was no suspicious activity.

Clapping back at the allegations against her, Sadie told KTVU at the time:

“Do you really think it’s OK to go online and be racist and make stories about a family? It’s hard enough to be a Latin family in a white community.”

Oof. She also told The Argus-Courier, “It’s like we’re literally guilty of being Brown while shopping.” Ugh. So f**ked up.

This drama brings us to late last week, when Katie was finally sentenced after she was charged with two misdemeanor counts of making a false report of a crime in April 2021. One of those charges was dropped before her hearing earlier this year.

So, on Thursday, the Sonoma County District Attorney released a statement revealing she was sentenced to 90 days in prison for making a false report. Katie will be eligible for work release for 60 days of the sentence. She was also ordered to be placed on a 12-month “informal probation,” during which time she cannot have a “social media presence,” must “submit to warrantless search and seizure,” and will need to “complete a 4-hour implicit bias training,” among other requirements.

She began serving her time immediately after sentencing. The local District Attorney released a statement to the media after the sentencing was announced in the case:

“Ms. Sorensen has been held accountable for her crime and we believe the Judge handed down a fair sentence. Our hope is that this measure of accountability will help provide some closure to the couple that was falsely accused of having attempted to kidnap two young children.”

Agreed. They have been dragged through the mud over an elaborate lie.

Hopefully, this brings them a sense of justice with Sorensen now having to face the consequences of her actions.

Someone who used to be Colleen Ballinger’s inner circle is speaking out about those grooming allegations.

As we’ve been reporting, the 36-year-old content creator AKA Miranda Sings has been accused of grooming fans, maintaining exploitative relationships with her viewers, encouraging bullying, and talking about sexual subjects with minors. And now, her ex-husband Joshua David Evans is weighing in on the controversy!

On the same day Colleen dropped her insensitive ukulele song video denying the claims, the 39-year-old – who was married to her from 2015 to 2016 after seven years of dating – took to Twitter last week to offer support to the former fans who came forward. He wrote:

“Anyone feeling hurt & gaslit right now, my message to you is this: Your experiences were real. The proof is there. Your trauma should be taken seriously. The proof is there. Your anger is justified. The proof is there. You deserve better. Take your power back. Sending you love.”

Before anyone thinks he’s trying to use this controversy as a stepping stone to relaunch his career on YouTube, think again. Joshua insisted he has “no desire to use this as a catalyst for a YouTube comeback,” adding:

“It’s not a safe place for me. I’m past that. My voice is only here to help validate those that are hurting, nothing more. I have no need to make any money off of this. That is gross & not in my heart, whatsoever.”

But that’s not all he said. Joshua then followed up these tweets with another message to fans:

“In the midst of chaos and pain, remember to protect the goodness within yourself. Choose healthy ways of coping. Choose humility over winning. Choose the version of you that you can be proud of. You don’t have to be perfect to do the right thing.”

At this time, Colleen hasn’t reacted to her former hubby’s tweets. But more allegations have emerged since his remarks — this time about her behind-the-scenes behavior on the set of her Netflix show Haters Back Off. Former writers and showrunner assistant April Korto Quioh accused Colleen in a blog post on Friday of making racist comments, pushing for incest and rape jokes on her show, and other inappropriate behavior. So awful.

As Perezcious readers know, the 30-year-old star has been at the center of several controversies and legal battles for the past few years. It started in 2020 when they were filmed allegedly choking a female fan in Iceland — though no charges were ever filed. And two years later, things escalated to the point where a temporary harassment order was issued against Ezra in Massachusetts. A mom, Shannon Guin, accused The Flash star of threatening her family and acting inappropriately toward her 12-year-old child.

She claimed to The Daily Beast in June 2022 that Ezra had harassed them while visiting with a neighbor, claiming the actor flashed a gun and screamed at her in front of her kid. As for The Perks of Being a Wallflower alum’s wildly inappropriate behavior, the mother then alleged that they took an interest in her child:

“Miller focused their attention on the 11-year-old, saying, ‘I’ve talked extensively with your child, and they have a lot of power to them. At one point, you’re going to realize that you don’t have any control over them anymore. They’re an elevated being, and they would be lucky to have someone like me guide them.’”

Shannon told the outlet that Ezra continued to make her kid uncomfortable by tightly hugging them and offering to buy a horse to care for at their farm in Vermont. Ultimately, she and her kid were granted a temporary protective order against Ezra. But that order was lifted on Friday following a court hearing. Now, Ezra broke their silence on the matter to slam Shannon.

The Fantastic Beasts star took to Instagram on Friday to say that they were “unjustly and directly targeted” by the child’s mom, writing:

“I’m encouraged by today’s outcome and very grateful at this moment to everyone who has stood beside me and sought to ensure that this egregious misuse of the protective order system was halted. Protective orders are meant to provide safety for individuals, families and children who are in danger. They are not meant to be used as weapons by those seeking attention or fleeting tabloid fame or some sort of personal vengeance when there are people in true and dire need of these services. I have been unjustly and directly targeted by an individual who the facts have shown has a history of such manipulative and destructive action.”

Ezra then went on to criticize the media for “chasing the clicks” with these supposedly “false claims” before concluding with a message to fans:

“On a personal note, I want everyone to know that I am continuing to do my best to preserve my own wellness and what I can to reverse the collateral damage this ordeal has brought upon me and those close to me. Finally, to all you many beings in this world who have had the enormous courage to see me through it all and make it here with me — I will spend a long time trying to explain to you what it has meant to have your support. You have my undying gratitude, admiration, and love.”

That wasn’t the only thing said about the harassment order’s expiration…

Ezra’s attorney, Marissa Elkins, also issued a statement to Deadline on Friday, defending her client. She insisted that they were “never alone with the child” and the pair only “interacted” during “two brief encounters which occurred in the presence of several other adults.” Marissa also claimed the interactions were “initiated by her” at the time. Furthermore, she claimed that “nothing inappropriate” happened during Ezra’s conversations with the “young fan,” and they never had a weapon on them at any point.

With that in mind, Marissa believes that the harassment order against the Justice League star never would have been issued if they weren’t “struggling with significant mental health issues” and thus unable “to defend themself against the spurious claims” at the time Shannon went to court:

“Ezra does not deny that in the midst of their struggle that they have made mistakes and behaved at times in ways they wish they could take back. That, however, does not make every allegation, rumor, or false accusation true. There are real world consequences when claims like these are heedlessly amplified, without any regard for the facts or the truth. These false allegations, fanned by unscrupulous media, have threatened Ezra’s recovery, and done terrible damage to their reputation and career. Nonetheless, Ezra is in a much healthier place than they were at this time last year and is very glad to put this behind them.”
