As we’ve reported, the 64-year-old superstar was rushed to the hospital on June 24 after she was found unresponsive in her home in New York. Her manager Guy Oseary revealed to everyone that she “developed a serious bacterial infection” that landed her in the ICU for several days. Then, more details about the situation came out – with sources claiming she had been sick for several weeks.

But Madonna’s health scare allegedly turned out to be even scarier than we first thought. A report came out from Radar Online this week that the pop icon had to be revived with Narcan! For those who don’t know, Narcan or Naloxone is typically used in an emergency to save someone who is suffering from a drug overdose. But does this mean Madonna actually OD’d? Not necessarily. You see, the National Institute on Drug Abuse‘s website says it supposedly can be used to reverse acute septic shock. Madonna reportedly suffered from septic shock as a result of the infection. As Pfizer, a manufacturer of naloxone, even states on its website:

“Naloxone has been shown in some cases of septic shock to produce a rise in blood pressure that may last up to several hours; however this pressor response has not been demonstrated to improve patient survival.”

The site continued:

“In some studies, treatment with naloxone in the setting of septic shock has been associated with adverse effects, including agitation, nausea and vomiting, pulmonary edema, hypotension, cardiac arrhythmias, and seizures. The decision to use naloxone in septic shock should be exercised with caution, particularly in patients who may have underlying pain or have previously received opioid therapy and may have developed opioid tolerance. Because of the limited number of patients who have been treated, optimal dosage and treatment regimens have not been established.”

Radar Online also noted that nothing is pointing to Madonna needing Narcan due to drug use or an overdose. However, many doctors and medical professionals aren’t buying it! They have chimed in on the situation and insisted that Narcan does not normally treat septic shock. See some of the reactions (below):

We have many medicines that can literally, directly increase blood pressure. Naloxone would only do so in septic shock indirectly, by making the person in septic shock experience so much discomfort they release adrenergic chemicals (like adrenaline) because they are suffering.

So now, this begs the question: What’s really happened with Madonna? Did she get injected with Narcan – and not because of septic shock? Did her manager make up a story to cover alleged drug use? It’s not unheard of in the entertainment industry! Or was she actually never injected the medicine, meaning Radar’s story was false? Who knows! But as we mentioned, experts seem very skeptical about the outlet’s report!

No doubt everyone has questions about what’s going on! At the time of the Narcan report, the outlet noted that “a spokesperson for Madonna had no comment.” So her team seems to be keeping their lips sealed on the matter, at least for now. Specifically, commenters have accused her of being too skinny and achieving that weight loss by taking the diabetes drug that’s become a trend in Hollywood – Ozempic.

However, Jessica is finally setting the record straight: She’s not using the Ozempic to lose weight. When asked about the drug in an interview with Bustle on Thursday, the singer swore “it is not” how she shed a few pounds, instead it is all about “willpower” for her:

“Oh Lord. I mean, it is not. It’s willpower. I’m like, do people want me to be drinking again? Because that’s when I was heavier. Or they want me to be having another baby? My body can’t do it.”

Although Jessica shared that the haters’ comments about her body “hurt,” she refuses to let it stop her from living her best life:

“Am I going to let the negativity derail me? No, I’m too old for that. I am too connected to myself right now to let that derail me. It doesn’t mean that it doesn’t hurt. I am fortunate to have been every size. For [my] brand, understanding the women [who buy our products], and for my psyche.”

The chart-topping rapper hit the stage in Chicago, Illinois Wednesday night as part of his It’s All A Blur tour, but first he took to Instagram for a little bit of self reflection. In a somber video posted to his account Wednesday, the God’s Plan rapper opened up about his biggest fears, and the early days of his career:

“Someone asked me the other night what my biggest fear is, and I’ve never really had a good answer for it, but my answer was that all this is for nothing. Kind of the idea that, like, one day, life ends and it just all goes black. And I guess that question, like, sent me, you know, obviously deep into a spiral of thought. And it makes me think about my life and how surreal it feels at times.”

The 36-year-old then reflected on a time in his early teen years where he succumbed to peer pressure — RIGHT before the major opportunity of auditioning for Degrassi:

“I go back to this day when I was, like, 13 or 14.  I had an audition for a TV show that ultimately shaped my life, and before my audition, I went to this kid’s house and I, out of, I guess, a desire to be accepted, I would succumb to peer pressure and I got high with these kids right before my audition.”

OMG! So young! And right before an audition?? Things could have easily gone south, but obviously the casting department liked what they saw, because as we all know, he landed the role of Jimmy Brooks, which he famously played from 2001-2009.

The Knife Talk rapper continued:

“And I kind of wonder, like, if something bad happened that day, or you know, maybe I’m still high, maybe I’m in some coma, and this is just like me playing out my ideal life. What a thought. We can definitely understand that… Things must have been such a blur, like his tour name suggests, from the time he first got high, then with the rush of auditioning, and then basically just being in high gear ever since. The Material Girl singer was reportedly found unresponsive in her home and rushed to the hospital on Saturday, June 24. We learned right away from her manager that she was suffering “a serious bacterial infection.” Later we heard she’d been sick for months — and she was putting off treatment.

Over a week later, and we just got maybe the scariest detail yet. We don’t even know if this is true, but it’s chilling us to the bone to think about one way or the other.

According to Radar Online, the pop star had to be revived with NARCAN!

For those who don’t know, NARCAN (or generically, naloxone) is an injection used in an emergency to save the lives of patients suffering from drug overdoses, typically from narcotics (hence the name). It is a life saver. Does this mean Her Madgesty ODed? That the bacterial infection and all that stuff about trying to keep up with her much-younger backup dancers was a line of BS to hide it?? It certainly wouldn’t be unheard of in the industry for a manager to come up with a cover story for drug use.

But no, this does not necessarily mean there was no bacterial infection, or that opioids were involved. See, while NARCAN’s intended use is as “an opioid antagonist,” per the National Institute on Drug Abuse‘s website, the drug has also been proven to reverse hypotension in patients with septic shock. That’s something Madge was reported to be suffering from due to the advanced infection. So there’s no reason to assume illicit drug use or overdose.

However, if this report is true, it does mean she was even closer to death than we previously imagined. Naloxone is used to revive people. Gurl was on the brink. We shudder to think what might have happened if she’d been discovered even half and hour later.

Thankfully it seems she’s recovering well — she even got to go home after an extended stay at the hospital. Rosie O’Donnell, her pal for over three decades, told curious commenters on Instagram just this week:

“She is recovering at home — she is very strong in general.”

In case you didn’t hear the heartbreaking news, over the weekend the legendary actor’s grandson Leandro De Niro Rodriguez passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at only 19. On Sunday night his daughter Drena De Niro, whom he adopted when he was married to his first wife Diahnne Abbott in the ’70s, posted to her Instagram about the loss of her son. She wrote in the caption:

“My beautiful sweet angel. I have loved you beyond words or description from the moment I felt you in my belly. You have been my joy my heart and all that was ever pure and real in my life. I wish I was with you right now. I wish I was with you. I don’t know how to live without you but I’ll try to go on and spread the love and light that you so made me feel in getting to be your mama. You were so deeply loved and appreciated and I wish that love alone could have saved you.  I’m so sorry my baby , I’m so sorry @carlosmare [his father, artist Carlos Rodriguez]  Rest in Peace and Eternal Paradise my darling boy.”

Absolutely gut-wrenching.

The Goodfellas star also released a statement, telling the media on Monday morning:

“I’m deeply distressed by the passing of my beloved grandson Leo. We’re greatly appreciative of the condolences from everyone. We ask that we please be given privacy to grieve our loss of Leo.”

On the same morning Robert’s statement came out, “law enforcement sources” spoke to TMZ and said the boy’s passing is being “investigated as an overdose.” The outlet also said the insiders alleged they found “both drugs and drug paraphernalia were found near his body,” and sadly it seems like Drena’s comment is backing up that claim. On Wednesday, she replied to a comment in another post she made alongside Leandro’s father making a statement about the death, and suggested fentanyl is what her son overdosed on:

“Someone sold him fentanyl laced pills that they knew were laced yet still sold them to him so for all these people still f**king around selling and buying this s**t , my son is gone forever “

Just awful. Fentanyl is such a dangerous substance taking its toll on so many, and causing families everywhere to lose their loved ones. Just two milligrams — enough to fit on the tip of a pencil — is “a potentially deadly dose,” according to the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Such an awful way to lose someone, especially someone so young with their whole life ahead of them. Our hearts continue to be with Leo’s family and loved ones as they mourn this unthinkable loss.

After years of sobriety and 20 stints in rehab, the Melrose Place alum is said to be once again struggling with her addiction. Sources for DailyMail.com opened up about the sad situation on Wednesday after the outlet previously shared photos of the actress acting erratically in Malibu last week.

In the photos and videos captured of the concerning sighting, Heather was seen with messy hair and wearing sweatpants at around 1 p.m. last Thursday. She was dropped off for an appointment by a man believed to be her fiancé, Chris Heisser, before emerging from the undisclosed meeting 60 minutes later. She then walked along the edge of the building, found a place on top of a staircase, and sat for about an hour reading through a journal and talking to herself. Eventually, she made her way to Chris, who was patiently waiting in the car the whole time.

Now, the family is left reeling amid reports Heather is drinking again, causing them to feel “helpless.” An insider told the outlet:

“Heather is drinking. The family is very worried. Everyone feels helpless. Richie [Sambora, her ex-husband], her family, especially her daughter Ava who loves her so much.”

Aside from boozing, Heather is also taking the popular diabetes medication Ozempic, which has grown popular for weight loss. The insider dished:

“Tequila has always been her drink. She can’t stay away from it. She’s also on Ozempic and obsesses over her weight. She’s lost 40lbs.”

The 61-year-old has had a well-documented history of mental health issues. In 2006, she got a DUI after breaking up with her ex-husband. She was then arrested in February 2018 for domestic violence and battery against a police officer who reported to an incident at her Thousand Oaks, California home. In June of the same year, she was arrested again for allegedly verbally and physically abusing an ambulance EMT who responded to a call for help at her home. In November ’18, the Uptown Girls alum was placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold after her therapist believed she was experiencing a mental breakdown.

In August 2019, she pleaded no contest to eight misdemeanor counts involving these incidents. She was ordered to complete a 30-day stay in a mental health facility, which resulted in a 120-day jail sentence getting suspended. So, it was a massive ordeal, but perhaps one that could have resulted in more severe punishments, one source thinks. The confidant expressed:

“Heather got off so easy with no probation or accountability after beating up cops and then threatening EMT ambulance drivers. The no accountability has allowed her to continue to hide out on top of her mountain estate and drink her tequila body into a much larger unhappier figure.”

Oof. The source also believes Heather’s behavior has been “unfair” to her partner, since “he is battling alcohol too.” Hmm.. makes us wonder if the source is more connected to him… The insider continued:

“[Chris] has to drive her for mandatory errands and try to sustain his career while lying to family and friends consistently hiding her alcohol and drug problems. […] [The couple] told friends she has been drinking again months ago and would return to rehab to no avail.”

As you can imagine, it has been very tough for Heather’s 25-year-old daughter to watch her struggle with her addiction, and this is not the first time she’s had a front-row seat to her struggles. Ava’s support is said to have been a big help in Heather’s sobriety journey in 2019, so hopefully she can be a positive influence again.

Addiction can be such a tough thing to battle. We sincerely hope Heather gets the help she needs to get back on the right track ASAP.

In an emotional interview with People published Wednesday, the Oscar winner opened up about a near-fatal overdose in 2020 that left her temporarily unable to walk or speak — in her own words, she remembered:

“I almost died.”

Towards the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the former child star was prescribed various medications for back and neck pain, as well as rheumatoid arthritis. Tatum had famously struggled with addiction for decades — and unfortunately, as many on such painkillers do, she began abusing the prescription drugs.

Her oldest child, son Kevin McEnroe, 37, whom she shares with former husband and tennis champ John McEnroe, explained to the outlet:

“She had become very isolated. With the addition of morphine and heavier pharmaceuticals, it was getting scary. COVID, chronic pain, all these things led to a place of isolation. In that place, I don’t think, for her, there was much hope.”

In May of 2020, Tatum overdosed from a combination of pain meds, opiates, and morphine.

A friend found her in her Century City apartment and rushed her to the hospital. There, it was discovered she’d suffered a devastating stroke, resulting in aphasia — meaning the parts of her brain responsible for communication had been affected. Kevin remembered:

“It was the phone call we’d always been waiting for. She also had a cardiac arrest and a number of seizures. There were times we didn’t think she was going to survive.”

He added:

“I had to call my brother and sister and say she was thought to be blind, deaf and potentially might never speak again.”

The Paper Moon star remained in a coma for six weeks before she finally woke up, totally unaware of her state. Kevin added:

“She didn’t know where she was. She couldn’t say, ‘I’m scared.’”

Thankfully she made it through — and can tell us just how terrifying it was for her. Tatum recalled of that dark time trapped inside herself:

“I didn’t know where I was, I didn’t know what to think, I didn’t know what to do, and I had no, no, no words at all. Nothing. And nobody could figure out what was going to go on — if I was going to die or if I was going to live, and I lived. It is a miracle.”

Even worse, COVID restrictions made it difficult for Kevin and his two younger siblings, brother Sean, 35, and sister Emily, 32, to visit their mother.

In the years since her fateful overdose, Tatum has been working toward recovery. She vulnerably told the outlet:

“I’ve been trying to get sober my whole life. Every day, I am trying.”

The 59-year-old now attends daily therapy, as well as twelve step recovery meetings. She added, “I’ve been through a lot,” sharing:

“I was an addict my whole life pretty much on and off, for the past 30 to 40 years.”

Kevin recalled his mother wanting to get sober for her kids, but never really for herself — something which has now changed since her brush with death:

“She has embraced this attempt at recovery. She was always a very loving mom but when isolated, I think it was hard to find any love for herself.”

He added:

“In the world of recovery, there can be a moment where you feel, like, ‘I can’t keep living this way.’ And I think that is what finally occurred. Now I see an enormous amount of hope. So to me this last chapter where she wants to live, wants to get sober, wants to learn, I think it’s a miracle. I think it’s beautiful. I’ve never been more proud to be her son. She’s full of love and full of heart.”

The 37-year-old continued:

“She is learning to be with herself and find some love for herself. It’s been hard but it’s been beautiful and it’s a miracle to behold. All I ask her every day is just to try. I think we’re both really lucky to have gotten this chance.”

So sweet. Tatum is so lucky to have such a supportive family. And she’s going to continue fighting for them. She explained:

“Every day I am trying. I want to be with my beautiful three kids.”

As of now, the actress noted, “I still can’t really read and write yet,” but that she plans to take her recovery “a day at a time.” Watch more (below):

And now, after Secret Service agents and federal investigators hurriedly tested the substance to determine what it was, they have made their reveal: it was cocaine.

WTF??

Obviously, the evacuation itself was scary enough. On Sunday evening, visitors and staffers alike were briefly ushered out of Joe Biden‘s presidential home after a suspicious white substance was found on the grounds. The DC Fire Department was called, along with EMS and a Hazmat team from the district’s official government body.

At the time of the incident, a Secret Service spokesperson said this to Fox News Digital:

“US Secret Service Uniform Division Officers located an unknown item on the White House complex. As a precaution, the White House grounds were evacuated, and the DC Fire Departments Hazmat team responded.”

Well, now we are learning more.

According to the Washington Post, TMZ and others in new Tuesday morning reports, an audio transmission that went out over police and fire dispatcher radios on Sunday night has confirmed that the substance found in the White House was actually cocaine.

The transmission indicated that officials apparently tested the suspicious substance to be sure, and one fire official could be heard saying this over the radio following the application of the color-based testing kit:

“We have a yellow bar saying cocaine hydrochloride.”

Whoa!

The Washington Post and others captured the transmission in real time, and confirmed it was sent at 8:49 pm local time from the White House on Sunday evening. You can listen to it for yourself HERE.

Obviously, it’s unclear — and very concerning — how cocaine could have gotten into an area of the West Wing “that President Biden frequents a lot on the job,” per TMZ. Beyond that, all agents will say about where it was found is that the cocaine was discovered “in a work area.” Huh…

For what it’s worth, President Biden was not in the White House over the weekend much at all, and specifically he was not at home in the building during the actual evacuation on Sunday night.

For now, per the WaPo, officials are doubling down on that quickie test to be sure the substance actually is cocaine, like they suspect. It sounds like there is no concern with it being any kind of poison, or an incendiary device left for some terroristic purpose or whatever.

So, that’s good, at least? Jeez. But now, officials must look into how it got there, who put it there, and why…

It seemed the former skateboarding star was finally on his way to recovery. Things had hit another rock bottom as Bam went missing for a weekend and made some really scary “suicidal threats” online and to family members. But after his 5150 psychiatric hold ended, it seemed like things were finally looking up. Bam’s estranged wife Nikki Boyd was even letting him talk to his son Phoenix again, which was supposedly motivating him to get better!

After he was in communication with his little boy, it seemed as though something changed. He even started a detox at one of the Odom Wellness Treatment Centers, which was an amazing sign. But last weekend we learned the 43-year-old left the rehabilitation center early — and we’ve been waiting ever since for the other shoe to drop.

In case you missed it, back on June 19 Bam reportedly ditched the San Diego rehab center, according to TMZ. And NOT at the completion of his program. The outlet was told by a close insider that he didn’t want to complete the detox. Lamar once again tried to convince him to go back into the treatment center, but to no avail. He did get Bam to stay with him personally rather than run away, but it didn’t last. The Jackass star stayed with Lamar for no more than three days, then split with friends.

According to the outlet, the TV personality was spotted at a restaurant in Malibu then ultimately headed to Las Vegas. It was unclear who was going to be spending that Sin City trip with him, but according to Lamar, whoever it was must be bad news.

In an interview with the publication on Friday, he said of Bam’s friends and lifestyle:

“Who you surround yourself with is critical. We are the company we keep.”

Oof.

He’s right, though. According to FHE Health, when dealing with addiction, your personal relationships — your support system — is the “single most important thing” in recovery. The addiction treatment center says one bad or unsupportive relationship in your life has the power to push you right back into drugs or alcohol, no matter how far you’ve gotten. Such a heartbreaking reality…

Bam has been trying for years to get clean and stay sober, but so far it just seems like one struggle after another for him. We were hopeful his son would finally be the motivator he needed, but as of now it’s all in his hands, and it looks like his priority was partying in Vegas.

As Perezcious readers know, Alec Baldwin accidentally fired a gun on the set of the movie Rust in October of 2021, hitting both cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and director Joel Souza. Hutchins ended up passing away from the shooting. Following an investigation into the tragedy, the 65-year-old actor was initially charged with involuntary manslaughter along with Hannah.

While Alec’s charges were later dropped, the armorer’s legal battle has continued. But Hannah is now dealing with more than just an involuntary manslaughter charge! Per The New York Times, prosecutors Kari Morrissey and Jason Lewis also charged her with evidence tampering last week. No, not the gun. They claim she handed over drugs to someone else back in October 2021 in order to prevent criminal prosecution.

The prosecutors kept information under wraps about the situation at the time. However, they’ve finally provided details about the new charge in a motion filed on Thursday, claiming they have a witness who will testify that Hannah passed cocaine off to them after her police interview on the day of the shooting. What?!

Following the tragedy two years ago, Hannah sat down for an interview with the police from the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office on the night of October 21, 2021. She told investigators that she loaded Alec’s revolver with what she thought were six dummy rounds — but of course, we know that the gun actually contained a live round. Prosecutors also have since claimed Hannah was most likely hungover when she loaded the weapon, as she “was drinking heavily and smoking marijuana in the evenings during the shooting of Rust.” But the party was apparently more than just alcohol and weed…

In the filing, the prosecutors claimed that the armorer gave their witness “a small bag of cocaine” after returning from her initial interview with the authorities that day! In doing so, they feel Hannah interfered with the investigation into Halyna’s death by stopping them from getting this evidence from her:

“The circumstances of the transfer of evidence strongly support the charge that the defendant transferred the cocaine to avoid prosecution, and prevent law enforcement from obtaining highly inculpatory evidence directly related to the defendant’s handling of the firearm and the circumstances of the fatal shooting of Halyna Hutchins.”

Yikes. As we said before, things aren’t looking good for Hannah…

As for the identity of this witness? Well, prosecutors are requesting that a judge allow that person — who was described only as S1 and an employee in the film industry — to have their identity remain anonymous for the time being. They say the witness is worried about being “blacklisted” from the business and hounded by the media if their name is revealed to the public.

However, Hannah’s attorney Jason Bowles questioned the fact that a mystery witness has suddenly come forward with new details 20 months after the shooting. He said in a statement to The New York Times on Friday:

“And the state won’t identify the person? This is a throwback to the secret, star chamber prosecutions in England in the 15th century that were abolished. Like everything else with the state’s case and investigation, it’s full of sound and fury, but signifying nothing.”

Prosecutors recognized in their filing that the witness will most likely have their identity revealed at some point. For now, though, they’re trying to keep it concealed for as long as possible.

A judge will determine if the charges against Hannah will move forward in August, so everyone has to wait to see if this new evidence has an impact on the case then.
