Actress Miss Benny brought the unfortunate news to TikTok‘s attention in a new video on Thursday in which she broke down what it was really like to step foot on the set of the Full House reboot. The 24-year-old had the honor of playing the spin-off’s first gay character, Casey, but she was quickly informed her role was at risk!

According to Miss Benny, “one of the Tanner sisters” who is “very publicly not for the girls” was not pleased with the addition of a queer character in two episodes of season 4. Because the star’s feelings about the LGBTQ+ community were so widely known by everyone working on the production, the higher-ups sat down with the guest star to warn her about what to expect! The performer, who came out as transgender in June, revealed:

“I remember I got sat down by the writers and the studio to basically warn me how this person allegedly was trying to get the character removed and not have a queer character on the show.”

WTF!

The actress claimed she was “warned and prepared” that this person’s fan base might also be “encouraged to target” her. While the protests to get the character erased from the comedy didn’t work, it doesn’t mean the leading lady was very welcoming to the Glamorous lead, Miss Benny claimed:

“To this day, despite working on the show every day for two weeks straight, I have only had a conversation with one of the Tanner sisters.”

Now, obviously, there were only two Tanner sisters to chat with on set because the youngest, Michelle, played by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, was not a part of the Netflix series. And given what we all know about Candace and Jodie Sweetin, it seems obvious the latter was the only friendly one. Jeez.

Again, while Miss Benny’s post never called out Candace by name, the star did include the caption, “#candacebure,” so there’s really no mistaking who she was putting on blast. You can hear her full reflection (below):

As to be expected, the Christmas Under Wraps lead wasted no time clapping back. Denying all the claims, she said in a statement to People on Thursday night:

“I never asked Miss Benny’s character to be removed from Fuller House and did not ask the writers, producers or studio executives to not have queer characters on the show. Fuller House has always welcomed a wide range of characters. I thought Miss Benny did a great job as ‘Casey’ on the show. We didn’t share any scenes together, so we didn’t get a chance to talk much while filming on set. I wish Miss Benny only the best.”

Hmmm…

Her word choice at the end is def inneresting. Saying they didn’t have the opportunity to “talk much” seems to suggest they did interact — but if we’re going off what Miss Benny said then that’s a lie!

Of course, these allegations come after Candace was already dubbed the “rudest celebrity” JoJo Siwa‘s ever met. Last year, the Aurora Teagarden Mysteries star also made waves when she promoted her new partnership with the Hallmark rival Great American Family, saying:

“I think that Great American Family will keep traditional marriage at the core.”

The 47-year-old’s apparent bigotry was criticized by many stars, including the Dance Moms alum who was shocked she so openly gushed about her “intention of excluding LGBTQIA+” people in her new projects. Jodie was spotted supporting the former Nickelodeon star, who identifies as queer and pansexual, writing, “You know I love you.” Jodie also unfollowed Candace at the time. On Monday night the Dance Moms alum took to one of her favorite apps, Snapchat, where she shares tons of life stories with followers. But fans weren’t prepared for this story! In a terrifying series of selfies, the 19-year-old revealed her house was robbed — and she got the whole thing on her security cameras!

Starting off her scary account, the actress wrote in a series of photos:

“Also…. Got some updates about my home:(“

While viewers waited for what potentially could’ve been another house tour, or room remodel, or maybe just showing off one of the many incredible decorations that fill her mansion, JoJo had a completely different tone. Giving a thumbs down to the camera, she said:

“We were robbed last night at 2:40(ish) AM”

So scary! But things only got worse…

After calling police and reviewing security footage, the dancer revealed the threat was much greater than anticipated:

“It was an armed robbery which is very scary….”

Just awful! We can’t imagine how terrified she and her housemates must’ve been in that moment. Luckily, though, everyone was safe:

“But the good news…. No one was hurt, all our puppies are good, there is lots of materialistic damage but that can all be fixed … I’m just happy that my family and pups are safe. Most important thing to me”

Whew! What a great outlook to have, but it’s still awful someone would invade JoJo’s space like this and damage her property.

The Boomerang songstress went on to say she had a long night:

“It was a REALLLLLY long night on the phone with my security, family, and LAPD.”

And sadly, after it was all said and done, she couldn’t even go back to sleep because she was so scared:

“And then I couldn’t fall back asleep after. Was about 2 hours on the phone, then lots more just laying there thinking.”

The good news is, though, she’s got footage of what happened — so hopefully the Los Angeles Police Department can help her find who did it:

“Gonna share the picture but warning it’s very terrifying. Very grateful everyone is safe”

Last month, the Dance Moms alum stopped by the We’re Having Gay Sex podcast to talk about, yes, as the title implies, gay sex. But really it’s a much bigger convo about growing up in the public eye, and where it’s landed her as a young adult trying to do adult things.

It turns out being famous at a young age can really affect your wild side. As far as her sex life, she explained that she only feels comfortable doing the deed in completely private places, unlike what she believes many other young adults are doing:

“I’ve only had sex in the privacy in my own room…or my own hotel room. I don’t know really what normal teenagers do, but I’m assuming — a bathroom stall — whatever. But because of who I am, I can’t do that.”

A bathroom stall?! LOLz! While we’re sure there are plenty of folks holding up the lines to bathrooms at clubs in LA and other places, there are also tons of young people who like to keep their privates just as private as she does.

Though her child celeb status does make her a special case. The 19-year-old added that it’s not JUST sex that she has to make specific accommodations for — but even something as simple as a date. She explained:

“It’s wacky. It’s weird, it’s confusing, it’s hard for me, it’s hard for the person I’m dating or talking to, because I can’t do things. How most people can go on a dinner date, I can’t go on a dinner date, normally. I can, but I have to call and say ‘I’m JoJo Siwa, can I have a private table in a private room?’ and it’s great.”

Yeah, we can imagine that getting old pretttttty fast. In 2021 JoJo came out as gay on Instagram, sporting a shirt that read, “Best Gay Cousin Ever.” Later that same year, she began dating Katie Mills, before breaking up and moving on with TikTok star Avery Cyrus in 2022.

As of now, the young star is single. But as she floats around the dating pool she’s finding things are trickier than she realized. Reflecting on how her upbringing has held her back when it comes to a more normal teen experience, she continued:

“People my age are just fresh out of their house, they’re freshly moved. I live at home, my parents live with me. I love it, we have a great relationship, and so I think I missed out on a lot. I graduated when I was 15, but I was homeschooled. My life was very different, and I wouldn’t change it for anything. I’m very behind in the world of love. Because most people go to a freshman dance, and they go with a date, and then they go to homecoming with a different date. Then they go to prom 14 times, and then they go to prom at the other school, and then they have a summer fling and then they have their hookup in the car in the school parking lot.”

She added that she’s “never had any of that” and even feels like “an eighth grader in love land.” Sounds like JoJo sure has spent a lot of time thinking about all this! (And maybe been comparing her own situation unfavorably to the most adventurous among us!)

Awww. We’re sure it was even harder for her as she was struggling to discover her sexuality amid all the stardom! But it’s all about what she makes of it now!

On a wild note, the YouTube sensation added that she now has a no phones during sex rule after she once accidentally butt-dialed her dad! She revealed: 

“It’s my third night with this partner. It’s really fun, I’m happy, I’m having the time of my life. Cut to the next day and my dad comes up to me and goes, ‘So you guys had fun last night. Last night you called me.’”

While JoJo did not share any more details about the incident in the post, Dailymail.com claimed that Tooie was attacked by a coyote in her backyard. She continued to open up about the situation in a since-deleted video, expressing:

“There was an accident with him this morning and it’s nothing that anybody could have done anything to prevent, so it’s no one’s fault. He hopefully didn’t suffer — I feel like it was pretty quick. … My vibe’s going to be off today — I can already feel it. But I’m going to be OK. We gotta keep pushing. We gotta keep living … God, I love him, He was the best.”

For those who don’t know, the drama between the pair began when the 33-year-old conservative commentator shared a roughly six-minute video on Twitter Tuesday, in which she suggested that the 19-year-old performer is “lying about being lesbian” because she wants “attention.” She said in the clip:

“I don’t believe JoJo Siwa is a lesbian, by the way. I want to state that very clearly. I do believe that she’s desperate for attention.”

WTF?! Candace then went on to react to one of JoJo’s old videos from TikTok about her “gay awakening.” Basically, the former Nickelodeon star said she realized she was gay after hearing Demi Lovato’s popular song Cool for the Summer, repeat-watching Jenna Dewan’s Lip Sync Battle performance of a Magic Mike number, and not wanting to be intimate with a guy she went out with once. And of course, Candace had something to negative say about this video. For the talk show host, she felt these reasons made “absolutely no sense” to her and was nothing more than JoJo’s way of trying to gain “attention” from fans:

“One plus one plus one must equal ‘I’m a lesbo.’ The idea here is that she suddenly realized she’s a lesbian because she had a bad date and liked the way Jenna Dewan danced. It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. It’s very clear to me she did that video for attention. She got attention because it’s a great way to find a community of victims.”

Ugh, seriously?! She had more to say on the matter, but we won’t make you suffer through the rest of the hateful and bigoted content. But apparently, JoJo caught wind of Candace’s comments a couple of days later and was not standing for it! She took to Twitter on Thursday to slam the television personality, writing:

Now, Katie is clapping back — and apparently she’s got the “receipts.”

In a Wednesday stitch of JoJo’s original video, the social media star revealed she’s “done being quiet.” She addressed the former So YouThink You Can Dance? judge directly:

“You hold a lot of power, you and your platform. How can you tell someone you love them and ghost them the next day, and then post all over the internet that we’re clout chasers and love bombers? I don’t get it.”

The less-than-pleased ex then compared her own situation to that of Avery’s, with both apparently being “hell”:

“You sent me and Avery through hell for months, and gave us no explanation why. You know we weren’t love bombers or clout chasers. Aren’t you the one that decided that we needed to go to the Hollywood Boulevard, Disney and the Lakers game? That wasn’t my idea. And anytime I posted something, I asked for you permission first.”

Wow, JoJo put them “through hell for months”?? We need more details! Katie added:

“And I have the text receipts to prove it, so don’t come at me saying that we were clout chasers. Everything was starting to die. Everything started to get quiet. But now that you posted a video like this, coming at us, we’re getting DMs back, the comments back. Knock it off. You know me and Avery can’t defend ourselves, so stop attacking us. Leave us alone.”

While Katie publicly confronting JoJo about her claims is new, the 19-year-old sharing her frustration over her exes using her for “clout” and “views” is not. If you remember back in December, after JoJo and Avery decided to go their separate ways, the YouTube sensation was captured on her momma Jessalynn Siwa’s Instagram Story pacing around a hotel room, explaining what was going through her head post-breakup:

“I got used for views. And for clout. And I got tricked into being told that I was loved and I got f**king played.”

In response, Avery told E! News:

“From my perspective, me and JoJo left on great terms and are still friends. The relationship was very real, and I have nothing but love for JoJo and her family.”

By the sound of it, both Avery AND Katie are confused. JoJo has yet to hit back, but we’re sure there’s more to come.

In a new TikTok out on Wednesday, the dancer slammed an unnamed employer for having a negative reaction to her coming out in 2021. While dancing along to Meghan Trainor’s Mother, text on-screen explained:

“In January 2021 I come out to the world. The company I work for told me they needed to have a meeting w/ me ASAP. During this meeting, the PRESIDENT of the company negatively asked me ‘what are you gonna tell your young demographic?’ I took a second to process what I was just asked, and then… I replied… ‘THE TRUTH'”

Love her confidence!

This was obviously not the answer her boss wanted to hear, she dished:

“I’ve never seen a man roll his eyes so far in the back of his head. It was silent so I started talking again… I said ‘I’m not gonna hide who I am and who I love to anyone, ESPECIALLY to the next generation.’ He didn’t like that very much.”

But she doesn’t regret her decision, noting:

“SO many adults say to me ‘I wish I had someone like you when I was younger.’ Which reminds me every time that I did the right thing and to never let ANYONE change who you are.”

Interestingly, one of JoJo’s most notable employers is now speaking out and insisting this hate wasn’t coming from them! Nickelodeon clapped back at the video in a statement to E! News on Thursday, revealing:

“We are unaware of what incident or meeting JoJo is referencing, but it certainly did not happen at Nickelodeon. We have valued and supported JoJo since day one of our relationship together and we still do today.”

To prove how supportive they have been — and continue to be — of the Dance Moms alum, Nick announced they have curated a PRIDE Capsule Collection with JoJo that will be available in May with a portion of the proceeds set to benefit GLSEN, an organization supporting LGBTQ+ youth in school. Very cool!

That said, it’s not like the singer hasn’t had issues with the company before. Around the time she came out, she actually put Nick on blast multiple times! First, she claimed the company wasn’t letting her use new songs from her film The J Team on her D.R.E.A.M. Tour in September 2021. She took to Twitter to express her frustration, writing:

“These are MY songs, MY voice, MY writing. Does this seem fair??? There is no reason that this music should not be included. Working for a company as a real human being treated as only a brand is fun until it’s not.”

Things escalated last April when she revealed she hadn’t been invited to the Kids’ Choice Awards — despite the fact she was nominated for Favorite Social Music Star! Totally sus. The 19-year-old Dance Moms alum spoke to People on Tuesday during a preview of the new TRON ride at Disney World and said it’s where she’s had tons of life experiences:

“I have a lot of really fun memories here. I have a lot of really hard memories here, but I have grown a lot at Disney.”

Elaborating, the actress attributed lots of her biggest life milestones to trips to the Happiest Place on Earth:

“I fell in love for the first time at Disney World. I realized I was gay at Disney World. I went through stages of heartbreak at Disney World. There’s been a lot in my personal life that Disney World has really attributed to.”

Aww! It really is a magical place for JoJo!

The High School Musical: The Series star recalled taking a trip to Disney and falling for a “good friend”:

We’re not together anymore, but we did have some really fun, happy memories here.”

Before she came out in 2021, JoJo took a trip with her brother Jayden, his girlfriend, and Kylie Prew, who she would later call her girlfriend. Kylie and the singer would go on to date from February to November 2021 and be on again, off again until they finally ended their relationship again last summer. But just because they’re not together anymore doesn’t mean she doesn’t like to take a trip down memory lane and recall the fun times:

“[I remember] the tension of riding every ride, sitting next to each other, walking around the park like my brother and his girlfriend because we thought it was funny. But really, we both just wanted to hold hands. Those memories just make my heart so happy.”

So sweet!

Since breaking up with Kylie, JoJo has been linked to TikTok star Avery Cyrus whom she dated for three months before they broke up in December, which has turned into quite the messy split. For now, though, it seems like the teen is just enjoying the single life!
