The chart-topping rapper hit the stage in Chicago, Illinois Wednesday night as part of his It’s All A Blur tour, but first he took to Instagram for a little bit of self reflection. In a somber video posted to his account Wednesday, the God’s Plan rapper opened up about his biggest fears, and the early days of his career:

“Someone asked me the other night what my biggest fear is, and I’ve never really had a good answer for it, but my answer was that all this is for nothing. Kind of the idea that, like, one day, life ends and it just all goes black. And I guess that question, like, sent me, you know, obviously deep into a spiral of thought. And it makes me think about my life and how surreal it feels at times.”

The 36-year-old then reflected on a time in his early teen years where he succumbed to peer pressure — RIGHT before the major opportunity of auditioning for Degrassi:

“I go back to this day when I was, like, 13 or 14.  I had an audition for a TV show that ultimately shaped my life, and before my audition, I went to this kid’s house and I, out of, I guess, a desire to be accepted, I would succumb to peer pressure and I got high with these kids right before my audition.”

OMG! So young! And right before an audition?? Things could have easily gone south, but obviously the casting department liked what they saw, because as we all know, he landed the role of Jimmy Brooks, which he famously played from 2001-2009.

The Knife Talk rapper continued:

“And I kind of wonder, like, if something bad happened that day, or you know, maybe I’m still high, maybe I’m in some coma, and this is just like me playing out my ideal life. And yeah, that concept has stuck with me for a lot of years. I mean, it feels like reality, it feels tangible, but I definitely wonder sometimes.”

What a thought. We can definitely understand that… Things must have been such a blur, like his tour name suggests, from the time he first got high, then with the rush of auditioning, and then basically just being in high gear ever since. If you follow the We Don’t Talk Anymore singer on social media, you probably know he can get a little NSFW at times. From posting scandalous pics, to talking about the songs he masturbates to… He doesn’t hold back when it comes to dishing out all the sexy deets. And that doesn’t seem to be changing any time soon!

On Tuesday, the 31-year-old sat down with Interview magazine, where he revealed that his song Marks On My Neck, off his 2022 album Charlie, came to him when he was gettin’ busy! He explained:

“I wrote the song in the middle of the act, maybe I should have focused on the act a little bit more, but the melody just kind of popped into my head and I actually had stopped and recorded a little quick voice note and then had to get back into the act. But that’s where that melody came from.”

Suffice to say ALL his creative juices were flowing, LOLz!

OMG! Could you imagine that?? Getting into the groove with someone and then they all of a sudden pause to record a quick little voice note? The pain of hooking up with an artist, we guess! Ha!

He added that the lyrics actually stem from a very personal experience with someone that he knew he wasn’t “energetically” aligned with:

“I was getting over somebody and what better way [to do that] than meet new people? It probably wasn’t going to work out with this person and that was what I was energetically picking up, which is okay. It’s all about the experience. And I remember waking up and looking at myself in the mirror, noticing these marks on my neck, and every day they’d heal and fade but so would the person who put them on me. And we went our separate ways. I’m thankful for the experience and maybe they are as well but I just thought it was interesting that a person can fade away at the same pace of the scars on your neck.”

Wait, so… that story wasn’t the person he was with at the time? Like at the time? He had that idea bopping around in his head, and then he was hooking up with someone else and thought — oh hold on, I have to start writing a song about your predecessor?? Apologies, I was just thinking about that LAST person in this bed, I need to go make music about them??? Wow.

When he’s not writing music in bed, he’s listening. As far as his personal sex playlist goes, Charlie keeps it to the classics:

“It’s usually Roy Ayers, Delegation‘s Oh Honey. Sometimes it’s just Blue in Green by Miles Davis.”

He added:

“I have a place in New York and I always hope that it snows and/or rains while I’m having sex because I want to put that record on. I went to Manhattan School of Music in Harlem and would always listen to jazz on the ride up there. You think that I’d want to listen to something else after having played eight hours of jazz? But it’s always jazz for me in any scenario. Never hip-hop. That feels like, too on the nose, like having Drake playing in the background.”

Of course, we’re taking about those rumors from a few years back claiming Kim had an affair with Drake while married to rapper Kanye West. And while we kind of knew those allegations were baseless (like, duh), Ye predictably did not react well to all that salacious chatter.

Now, in Thursday’s brand-new episode of the KarJenner fam’s Hulu series, we see the fallout from Ye’s curiosity about his then-wife’s supposed infidelity.

As Perezcious readers will recall, the rumor first rushed back in after Yeezy went on Drink Champs after Kim first filed for divorce from the Chicago-born star and wondered whether the Canadian rapper had been involved with his then-wife.

During that shocking interview, he said:

“I had this conversation with Drake that’s like, ‘I never f**ked Kim,’ but I was like, ‘but you acted like you did. Did you ever DM her?’ You know, because it ain’t about just the actual act of it.”

Comments like have clearly been very disheartening to the SKIMS mogul.

In one clip during this week’s new streaming show, Kim addressed the controversy with momager Kris Jenner. Accusing the Hurricane rapper of pushing the Drake-related gossip out into the world, Kim said:

“The one that was supposed to protect me — and still does interviews saying they will be my forever protector — is the one that’s hurting me the most. He was the one that started a rumor that said I was hooking up with Drake, having an affair. Our whole marriage he accused me of that publicly.”

Then, while breaking down in tears, she added:

“I really can’t wrap my head around how he thinks he is a protector. … I don’t know what to do. I don’t want to be a part of this narrative.”

Jeez!

In a confessional, Kim added even more about her anger at having the controversy bubble up in such a public way:

“It’s always just so intense. I just don’t want to engage in a public feud with him. [But] I feel like I have to do something. Especially when it involves other people and it hurts other people, like, hurt me. Just keep it with me.”

Later in Thursday’s third season premiere ep, Kim went further with detailing just how difficult the cheating accusations — and the entire divorce aftermath with Kanye’s persistent public attacks — have been on her.

In one particularly poignant scene, Kris commented on a psoriasis rash on Kim’s leg. To that, the SKKN By Kim founder noted she experienced an “anxiety attack” earlier in the day, and added:

“Tell the father of my children to stop acting up, and then I won’t stress out and get psoriasis.”

Ugh…

The difficulty for Kim has been, of course, Ye’s then-persistent Instagram antics. Perezcious readers will recall how Kanye regularly posted unsettling content to his IG page back when this was all going down, including unfounded remarks about Kim’s past sex tape with Ray J and baseless accusations about Kris.

Reacting to that on Thursday’s Kardashians ep, Kim said to her mother:

“I never comment. I never post. He has made up the most insane narrative about you [Kris], the tape, and we stay silent, we stay silent through all the lies, all the stuff.”

And in referencing her own children — North, 9, Saint, 7, Chicago, 5, and Psalm, 3 — Kim added:

“All of his shenanigans, I don’t even know what the f**k to call it, is gonna be far more damaging to the kids one day than my tape will ever be. And I have to sit here and not say anything ever because I know one day my kids will appreciate that. And I know that is the best thing for them.”

Kim went on to admit that she still blasts Kanye’s music for the kids in the car while she tries to act like nothing is wrong for their benefit through childhood:

“I’m the one where s**t could be going down and I get in the car and every day the kids want to blast Dad’s music, and I’m like, ‘He’s the best! Yeah!’ And I put it on, and we’re singing along and inside I’m dying. I will be his biggest cheerleader to them forever. One day when they see for themselves, I’ll answer whatever they want me to, but it’s just a lot.”

A lot, indeed.

Clearly, the long, dragged-out ending of her marriage to Ye and painstakingly dramatic divorce from the Jesus Walks rapper really took their toll on Kim.

In case you didn’t know, the 36-year-old rapper dropped a new track called Search & Rescue on Thursday. There has been a lot of buzz about the song over the past week – mainly because Drake used a Kim look-alike in the cover art for the new single AND sampled a line from Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Around the one-minute mark, you can hear the mom of four talking with Kris Jenner about her divorce from Kanye West:

“I didn’t come this far just to come this far and not be happy. Remember that.”

So obvi fans started to believe Drake was trying to get a dig at the 45-year-old rapper amid their longtime feud — which innerestingly enough started over rumors that the actor and Kim once hooked up. But apparently, there’s more to it! Because not only do people believe Drake was trolling his nemesis, but they now think he was professing his love for Kimmy Kakes too! Why is that? After the part where Kim discusses her divorce with her 67-year-old momager, the song jumps back to Drake rapping:

“I don’t really know how to confess my love / Really seem like God wanna test my love for you / Don’t know how to express my love / That’s why I American Express my love for you / I need you, yeah, I really do, tell me what to do.”

In the chorus of the track, the Degrassi alum also sings about how he’s ready to settle down and thinks about one person all the time:

On Friday, Sound 42‘s The Fry Yiy Show on SiriusXM dropped a brand new Drizzy record titled Rescue Me — and it was a doozy!!

Not only does the new song reference Kanye’s divorce from Kim Kardashian, but it actually includes the reality star speaking about why she wanted to break up with her baby daddy! Sampling a quote from the series finale of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kimmy Kakes can be heard musing during the song:

“I didn’t come this far just to come this far and not be happy. Remember that.”

Kris Jenner can then be heard agreeing with her daughter’s point. Whoa!

Drake goes on to suggest he’s ready to stop being a player and settle down with his ideal woman… perhaps Kim?! He says:

If you don’t know, Drake and Ye have feuded for years over rumors the Degrassi alum and The Kardashians star once hooked up. While the former husband and wife denied the speculation, it didn’t exactly stop Drake from running with the narrative. After his 2018 track In My Feelings seemed to hint at an affair with Kim, he followed up by name-checking Kanye in the 2021 song Wants and Needs. Later that same year, the performers seemed to make amends when they posed for a photo outside of Drake’s Toronto mansion and performed in a benefit concert together. Guess the cease-fire has come to an end!

In the early hours of Sunday, the 36-year-old actress took to the ‘gram to share a series of pictures of herself wearing an all-black ensemble featuring a sexy plunging top and pants with cutouts on the side. She also included a video where she seemed to be burning a letter and some kind of bag in a bonfire. She then wrote in the caption:

“You can taste the dishonesty/ it’s all over your breath”

For those who don’t know, this is a lyric from Pray You Catch Me – which is a song from Beyonce‘s album Lemonade. You know, the same album that dealt with her husband JAY-Z’s infidelity!! Adding fuel to the breakup rumors, the Transformers star deleted all of her photos with MGK AND unfollowed him on Instagram. She now only follows three people on the social media platform: Harry Styles, Timothee Chalamet, and the 32-year-old singer’s nemesis Eminem. The shade and very telling! At this time, Machine Gun Kelly still has photos of him and Megan on his account.

In case you didn’t know, suspects Michael Boatwright, Trayvon Newsome, and Dedrick Williams are accused of fatally shooting XXXTentacion during an apparent robbery at a motorcycle store in Florida in 2018. They’re each facing a first-degree murder charge and robbery charges. If convicted, they face a life sentence in jail. A fourth man, Robert Allen, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder last year and is set to testify against the three men during the trial.

And while there is a lot of evidence against the suspects, their defense team seems to be pulling out whatever they can to make jurors question if they’re actually guilty – including accusing investigators of not looking into other suspects, specifically Drake. You read that right. The defense team is trying to suggest the 36-year-old rapper somehow could have been behind the slaying!

The 20-year-old’s death came four months after 17 people were killed in a shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. According to The New York Post, the defense argued that the Broward County Sheriff’s Office was under pressure to solve his murder and never explored other suspects, including Drake, who had a feud with XXXTentacion. In fact, they noted the artist once shared on social media that if he ever died, Drake was the reason. However, XXXTentacion, whose real name is Jahseh Onfroy, later walked back on the statement. One of the attorneys, Mauricio Padilla, told jurors:

“For Broward County, for everyone involved, this was a nightmare.”

Prosecutors, for their part, shut down the theory, insisting the shooting was a robbery gone wrong. They also noted there is zero evidence linking Drake to the crime. Instead, the team says Boatwright, Trayvon, and Williams allegedly went to Riva Motorsports on June 18, 2018, to buy masks as they planned to commit armed robberies. But when they saw XXXTentacion inside the store, they changed their plans and targeted him instead.

Later, the HOPE musician exited the place in his BMW but was cut off by Williams’ SUV. According to prosecutor Pascale Achille, Boatwright and Newsome allegedly stormed the vehicle to rob XXXTentacion, and they took about $50,000 he had in a Louis Vuitton bag. She explained Boatwright then shot him multiple times “without any provocation.” The three men were also tied to the shooting through surveillance footage, cellphone spots, and testimony from Allen. Some of them even showed off the cash they stole on social media. Achille said:

“They go on social media and start bragging that they have this influx of cash. They flash it like it’s Christmas Day.”

Despite the surveillance footage, Boatwright’s attorney, Joseph Kimok, insisted his client was home asleep when the murder happened, and the cellphone data linked to him was a phone used by several men. Although Boatwright appeared with the money on social media, the lawyer said it belonged to Allen. Newsome’s lawyer also claimed the suspect was not at the scene of the crime.

According to pictures obtained by TMZ, Khloé Kardashian and Kim Kardashian were seen paying their respects at the funeral of the 31-year-old basketball player’s mother, Andrea Thompson, in Toronto on Saturday. A source shared with People that the KarJenners “all want to be there for Tristan,” adding:

“He will always be family. It’s a devastating situation for him. They want to do everything they can to support him.”

Another insider also noted that the momager spoke at the funeral service, which was also attended by Drake. While it is unknown what Kris said in her speech, she shared a tribute to Andrea on Instagram when the news that she died from a heart attack broke earlier this month. The 67-year-old wrote at the time:

“I am so heartbroken by the sudden passing of Tristan’s mom, Andrea. My thoughts, prayers and all of my love are with Tristan, Amari, Dishawn and Daniel. You were the most amazing, dedicated, devoted, and selfless mom and such a loving, kind, and fabulous grandmother. What a blessing you were to your family!!! I will miss you Andrea. I will miss your bright spirit and amazing light. Thank you for always praying for us and lifting us up and encouraging us along the way. Rest in peace beautiful angel”

Our hearts continue to go out to Tristan, his family, and the Kardashians during this difficult time.
