The pop star took to the official r.e.m. beauty TikTok page over the weekend to share a hilarious video in which she looked back on some of her previous makeup trends with harsh judgment — and boy, is it relatable!

The video, which was set to the viral Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner audio where the SKIMS founder asks her momager if her “eyes are a little too smokey for every day,” and Kris hits back with, “Yeah, I’m going through a phase,” showed off Ari coating on “a thick cat eye” of eyeliner, just like she used to.

The clip jumps back and forth between that, which stands in for the Kris portion of the audio, while a bare-faced version of herself stands in for Kim. The POV singer wrote over the vid:

If you watched the reality singing competition in 2020, you may remember contestant Samantha “Just Sam” Diaz taking the cake during the remotely-filmed finale, becoming the show’s 18th winner. That pretty much sounds like a golden ticket to the good life, right? Well, according to Sam, that isn’t the case.

The 24-year-old non-binary singer, who uses they/them pronouns, took to Instagram earlier this month to share that three years after emerging victorious from the hit ABC show, they’re back to singing in New York City subways. Alongside an IG video of them singing Ariana Grande’s Almost Is Never Enough, the American Idol alum vulnerably shared in a since-deleted caption, according to the US Sun:

“Back in 2021, I was super embarrassed to be going back to the trains. I didn’t want people to know that I legit needed the money & I didn’t want people to know that it wasn’t optional. I was disappointed in myself for allowing myself to fall so low after winning Idol, but then I had to take it easy on me and remember that I started my journey with Idol at 20 years old. Not even knowing anything about Hollywood or the music industry. Since then, I have learned so much and I’ve been able to take my experiences and share them with other artist in hopes that they don’t experience the same things that I did when It comes to making it in this life.”

The 2020 winner continued:

“For my season, there was COVID-19 which literally had the world shut down and had many people in hiding unsure of what was going to happen next. I was very much unsure of what was going to come. For a few months after winning I was unsure of what was next, but I was ready and waiting for whatever it was.”

Just Sam added:

“Everyone wants to know what happened and why this or why that & I will answer those questions someday, but In the meantime I’ll say this. I never expected to win, but I did, I was so grateful and I know that people are feeling like I let them down. I used to feel like I let myself and everyone down too. I know that there’s more coming for me. I know that everything happens for a reason and I know that this too shall pass no matter what things may look like right now. I’m not like any other contestant that has ever had a chance to be a part of the American Idol production. My year was unlike any other.”

They concluded:

“We didn’t know what to do with the win especially being that we had absolutely no help. There are people who have had more success than me and good for them I’m happy for them, but I am not them. I don’t like my situation, but it won’t be this forever.”

This isn’t the first time we’re hearing of Sam’s situation, as they revealed to Just Jared last year that they “ended up broke” after parting ways with Hollywood Records for unknown reasons. Sam shared at the time:

“I am making music, I just cannot afford to release music, because mixing and mastering music costs a lot of money. And I invested in myself and ended up broke. That’s the truth. Not broke, broke — like I’m living. I have my own place.”

While there’s surely a lot to Sam’s story we’re missing, the artist took to their IG Story Tuesday to thank fans for the support:

“There’s so much that I want to say, but there’s not much that I am allowed to say.. but I promise that I will say more very soon.. For now I will just say thank you so much to everyone who has my back.. thank you so so much to the people who are showing me nothing but love and supporting me. THANK YOU ALL FOR THE PATIENCE!!! It’s definitely needed and appreciated.”

The two stars portrayed Tori Vega and Cat Valentine on the popular Nickelodeon series Victorious from 2010 to 2013. While they played friends on-screen, they did not seem to be on good terms behind the scenes! Rumors began circulating that Victoria and Ariana didn’t get along all the way back in 2011. During an interview with Popstar!, their co-star Elizabeth Gillies praised Ariana’s singing ability and tendency to break into song at random times. Daniella Monet then chimed in to gush about how Liz likes to sing a lot too. But Victoria didn’t seem to like these remarks too much, as she appeared to be annoyed and crossed her arms before saying:

“I think we all sing.”

Many fans believed that comment – which was later turned into a viral meme – was Victoria’s supposed jealousy coming out, thus sparking the whispers that these two were not IRL friends.

A couple of years later, the feud rumors escalated when Ariana seemed to suggest that Victoria was the reason behind Victorious’ cancellation since she decided to do her own thing and head out on a solo tour. However, Victoria fired back at the allegations in 2015, telling E! News:

“I had nothing to do with Victorious not getting picked up again. I have a great relationship with all the Nickelodeon executives and my cast. And the tour not happening had nothing to do with me as well, other people didn’t want to go on tour, it wasn’t just because I went on a solo tour.”

The 30-year-old actress insisted “there’s no feud with me and Ariana” at the time. Nevertheless, that has not stopped fans from believing there has always been some tension between the former co-stars. And now, Victoria wants to make it clear to everyone once and for all that she does not have any bad blood with the 29-year-old singer!

In an interview with E! News’ The Rundown at the Revolve Festival over the weekend, the Zoey 101 alum once again shut down the feud rumors, saying the “I think we all sing” comment was “taken out of context” back then:

“When that ‘I Think We All Sing’ meme came out, I think that was so annoying. Ariana texted me and we both were like, ‘This is so stupid.’”

She added:

“I think the biggest rumor is this whole narrative that was created with me being jealous of her and of us not being friends. I feel like it’s this constant story of the media and people wanting to pit people against each other, and it’s just so not even relevant anymore now. But I think that was the biggest thing where I was like This is so dumb. Ten years later. How is this even a story? This is so stupid.”

On Sunday, those behind the highly-anticipated film released two brand new photos featuring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo in their starring roles as Glinda and Elphaba, respectively! Director Jon M. Chu hyped up the photos, saying:

“You weren’t told the whole story. What happens when you veer off the Yellow Brick Road? Here is your very FIRST LOOK of #WickedMovie … currently in production in Oz.”

Ariana donned a stunning pink gown while she walked up a long wooden staircase. Meanwhile, Cynthia was seen holding a broomstick while wearing a black witch hat and matching dress, seemingly in some kind of attic. The photos were gorgeous, but they also received quite a bit of backlash for being way too dark!

He also revealed the first-ever trailer for the Peacock show, which is set to stream on May 4. But all the attention during his chat with Charlamagne tha God was focused on that world-famous d**k!!

Early in their sit-down, the longtime radio personality asked the Saturday Night Live alum if all the rumors about what he’s packing really are true. Davidson balked at the member mention, laughing and shaking his head while trying to downplay his supposed size:

Pete… don’t be so bashful. We are, uh, pretty sure that’s not true! LOLz!

A day after the Thank U, Next performer addressed her fans’ “concerns” about her body in a lengthy TikTok, the supermodel is sharing the word. The 26-year-old reposted the video to her Instagram Wednesday, thanking Ariana for the “important” message — and added a few wise words of her own:

“you never know what someone is dealing with mentally or physically. Disease or depression . Grief or heartache. You just don’t, and you will never know until you walk in a day in their shoes. Instead of unsolicited advice or opinions, judgement or aggression, just try to offer a helping hand and be kind.”

She continued:

“try to be soft , especially when you don’t know someone or what they’ve been through.”

Ariana specifically spoke about how the comparison of her “current body” to her body in previous years, which she said was “the unhealthiest version” due to “antidepressants and drinking,” is unnecessary. She warmly explained in her video:

“I think you’re beautiful no matter what you’re going through. No matter what weight, no matter how you like to do your makeup these days, no matter what cosmetic procedures you’ve had or not, or anything, yeah I just think you’re beautiful and wanted to share some feelings.”

In a rarely candid post, the pop star took to TikTok on Tuesday to address her fans’ “concerns” about her body.

If you didn’t know, fans began to criticize Ariana’s changing appearance after photos emerged of her attending Jeff Goldblum‘s London concert last week. She and her Wicked co-star Cynthia Erivo looked fabulous as they stepped out to show their support. The 29-year-old wore an oversized pink puffer jacket with white boots (which you can see HERE), but onlookers were more worried about her weight, writing on social media:

“Ariana Grande looks worryingly thin”

“Very controversial opinion but she’s seriously too thin … I’m worried for her.”

While the fans may have thought they were raising concern for a good reason, Ariana is now calling them out for judging her body.

The performer began the new TikTok by saying she wanted to take a moment to talk about “what it means to be a person with a body and to be seen and to be paid such close attention to.” This is something she knows all too well after growing up in the spotlight. Referencing old images of herself, the Victorious alum shared:

“I know personally for me, the body that you’ve been comparing my current body to was the unhealthiest version of my body. I was on a lot of antidepressants and drinking on them and eating poorly and at the lowest point of my life when I looked the way you consider my ‘healthy.’ But that in fact wasn’t my ‘healthy.'”

Oof. The fact fans are comparing her to an unhealthy version of herself must make this all the more complicated.

In the past, the singer has been open about dealing with anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder, which she suffered after the 2017 Manchester bombing. While she doesn’t think she should “have to explain” her health to others, she hopes “something good” will come out of her “vulnerability.” The Thank U, Next vocalist also insisted “healthy can look different” for everyone, adding:

“You never know what someone is going through. So even if you are coming from a loving place and a caring place, that person probably is working on it or has a support system that they are working on it with, and you never know, so be gentle with each other and with yourselves.”

The Grammy winner asked her fans to be “gentler and less comfortable commenting on people’s bodies, no matter what,” even if they think their remarks are “well-intentioned.” She explained:

“There are ways to compliment someone — or to ignore something that you see that you don’t like — that I think we should help each other work towards. Just to aim towards being safer and keeping each other safer. There are many different kinds of beautiful. There are many different ways to look healthy and beautiful.”

Dalton Gomez‘s wife ended the video by complementing all her fans — no matter what healthy journey they’re on:

“I think you’re beautiful no matter what you’re going through. No matter what weight, no matter how you like to do your makeup these days, no matter what cosmetic procedures you’ve had or not, or anything, yeah I just think you’re beautiful and wanted to share some feelings.”

And before officially signing off, she jokingly told fans she wasn’t “wearing eyelashes or eyeliner,” teasing:

“This is my face, these are my eyes so don’t freak out about that now too, please.”

The 29-year-old comedian sat down for a new interview with Jon Bernthal this week. Speaking on Bernthal’s popular Real Ones podcast, Pete got, well, real about his romantic life. And he clarified some things about his A-list set of exes, too!

This Real Ones episode was released to Bernthal’s Patreon subscribers on Thursday. Clips were slowly making their way online by Friday morning, but the full thing hasn’t come out in public view yet. Regardless, insiders are already reacting to the Saturday Night Live alum’s frank and honest interview comments.

When Jon asked Pete about why the public is so interested in his love life, Kim Kardashian‘s ex offered up the opinion that he actually doesn’t think his romantic interests should be that, well, interesting:

“I think what happened was I became more known before the work was there. But I was always working. … Look, I’m in my 20s and I’ve dated people and for some reason that is very crazy and interesting to people. I don’t think it’s that interesting.”

He continued:

“I’ve been in show business for half my life almost, for like 14, 15 years, and on a national TV show. And in 12 years, I’ve dated like 10 people, I don’t really think that’s that crazy. But to some people it seems very interesting.”

The Meet Cute star went on to admit that the public’s fixation on his dating world has been “confusing.” Noting how he’s not active on social media, and thus not trying to pick up online clout with partners, Pete explained:

“I’m not on Instagram. I’m not on social media. I’m not, like, flexing, you know what I mean?”

The stand-up comedian added:

“These people that I’ve dated, like I’ve met them at work. Like, I wasn’t in anyone’s DMs, no one was in mine. … I worked at one of the five Hollywood epicenters where you meet people. And that’s just who I was working with and who I was around.”

For the Staten Island-born Davidson — who is currently dating Chase Sui Wonders — it’s been a maddening experience to try to grow his career while “all anyone will talk about” are his high-profile pursuits.

“They’re making fun of you … and then you gotta walk out and do a sketch next and hit your mark. The show just made fun of you, so why [is the audience] going to laugh at you? They just dogged you!”

Davidson concluded:

“[It has] zero to do with the work, and that is a really s**tty feeling.”

Of course, the King of Staten Island star has quite the dating resume: the aforementioned SKIMS mogul, Kate Beckinsale, Margaret Qualley, Emily Ratajkowski, and his 2018 whirlwind romance and brief engagement to Ariana Grande all come to mind. Even slightly lesser-profile women like Kaia Gerber, Phoebe Dynevor, Cazzie David, and Carly Aquilino have notably been in the mix.

Pete has only upped his comedy profile through it all, landing Netflix specials and starring in new projects like Wizards! even after leaving SNL at the end of last season. So the two have gone hand-in-hand — at least in fans’ minds and on social media.
