Rosie O'Donnell Offers Encouraging Updates On Madonna's Health Amid Infection Scare!

We are so glad to hear this!

Rosie O’Donnell is offering up some encouraging news on Madonna‘s current health status. Of course, the pop superstar had been hospitalized with a “serious bacterial infection” last week. But now, to hear the former TV talk show host tell it, it would appear as though the Queen of Pop is right back on top — or will be very, very soon!

According to People, the 61-year-old O’Donnell took to her Instagram comments section over the weekend to confirm that the 64-year-old pop star is doing much better now. Specifically, Rosie claimed that the Michigan-born Madonna is “good” right now and “recovering at home” after being hospitalized last week.

When fans asked Rosie for updates on the Like A Virgin singer’s current status, O’Donnell offered up this take in one reply to a follower querying for details:

“She is recovering at home — she is very strong in general.”

That she is!!

Then, another IG user offered this sweet sentiment about the pop star:

“God bless her hope she’s ok, I don’t care about the tour.”

To which the League Of Their Own star and former daytime TV talker replied, per People:

“She’s good.”

Great!

These positive updates came just hours after Rosie took to IG in the first place to re-live the pair’s time filming A League Of Their Own together alongside Tom Hanks and other stars way back in 1992.

In that IG post, Rosie asked “remember when” in the caption, while sharing a screenshot of the duo on screen as part of the formidable and formative film:

So, we are certainly heartened that it sounds as though Madonna is on the mend.

As Perezcious readers will recall, last week, an insider initially spoke to People about Madge’s major health issue. That source claimed the star had been seeing the worst of a “serious bacterial infection” in the weeks prior to when the forthcoming Celebration Tour was set to launch in Vancouver, Canada on July 15.

At the time, the insider revealed:

“She ignored some symptoms of illness for quite a while because she thought they would go away. But she didn’t want to take time away from rehearsals. She was rundown and not feeling 100 percent for a while in anticipation of her tour. She is relentless in her quest to be the best, to wow her fans and to do what others before her have not done.”

And a second source also added:

“Madonna has been very busy for a long time and not taking care of herself. She just continues to push herself beyond the limit.”

Clearly, the Like A Prayer singer went through some serious health battles in the last week-plus.

Now, we can only hope things are taking a serious turn for the better. At least judging by Rosie’s new update, it sounds like that is very much the case.

Sending love and light!!
