As you no doubt know, there has been a trend recently of performers getting pelted with objects while on stage over the past few weeks. Last month, Bebe Rexha was hit in the eye with a cell phone and got a massive shiner during her show in New York City. The person who threw the device was arrested and admitted he thought it “would be funny.” There’s absolutely nothing funny about throwing an item at someone and injuring them. Then, someone stormed the stage and slapped Ava Max during a show. Kelsea Ballerini was also hit in the eye with a bracelet. Awful. Sadly, so many others have joined the list of celebs getting objects hurled at them during a concert! And now, Harry Styles is the latest victim of this terrible trend.

During his concert in Vienna on Saturday night, the 29-year-old singer was walking across the stage in between songs when suddenly an unknown object hit him directly in his left eye. Ouch! Videos captured by fans of the incident showed Harry visibly in pain, as he winced, covered his face with his hands, and doubled over. However, the As It Was artist seemed to push through it and continued to walk off-stage. You can see the moment (below):

Ugh. Stop throwing things on stage! It’s super dangerous, and no artist deserves to be treated this way. And we’re not the only ones sick of this trend!

Following the incident with Harry, people have taken to social media to say enough is enough already with throwing objects at celebrities on stage. The investigation into the allegations that NBA star Victor Wembanyama‘s security guard Damian Smith slapped Britney Spears in Las Vegas on Wednesday night has come to a quick and unsatisfying end.

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, a probe into Brit’s allegations concluded on Friday morning, and “no charges will be filed.” Additional details about the case were not revealed.

We have to imagine this will be a bummer for the Toxic artist. As we reported, she filed a police report alleging the San Antonio Spurs‘ Director of Team Security “backhanded” her outside of the restaurant Catch in the Aria Hotel. She claimed she was attacked after tapping on the player’s shoulder and the blow sent her glasses flying and nearly knocked her to the ground.

In a statement on her Instagram, she demanded an apology for the violence. It does not appear as if she has gotten one publicly from either the guard or athlete, but Victor did address the incident on Thursday afternoon, saying someone grabbed him from behind and, to his knowledge, his team pushed them to the ground. The 19-year-old didn’t even know it was the Circus star until later.

According to an eyewitness for TMZ, once back in the restaurant, Britney said in a “very animated voice” that the guard “punched” her. Her security guard then asked Victor’s team member to come to her table and apologize, which he reportedly did, revealing he didn’t know it was her at the time. CoCo Lee sent her devoted fans one last message before she tragically passed away.

ICYMI, the Chinese-American pop diva sadly died by suicide after she faced a series of health issues. Her sisters Carol and Nancy Lee posted on Instagram Wednesday announcing the heartbreaking news:

“With great sadness, we are here break the most devastating news: CoCo had been suffering from depression for a few years but her condition deteriorated drastically over the last few months. Although CoCo sought professional help and did her best to fight depression, sadly that demon inside of her took the better of her.”

They said CoCo attempted suicide on Sunday, but sadly doctors couldn’t save her, and she ultimately died on Wednesday:

“On 2 July, she committed suicide at home and was sent to the hospital. Despite the best efforts of the hospital team to rescue and treat her from her coma, she finally passed away on July 5, 2023.”

So, so sad.

Fans of the songstress, most known for her award-winning A Love Before Time from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and as the voice of Mulan in the Cantonese version of the Disney hit, are aware she was recovering from a major leg surgery that corrected an issue she had since she was born. She was fighting to learn how to walk again, but ultimately the struggle of her recovery and her depression was too much to bear. Devastating.

Those who knew CoCo and worked with her described her as charismatic, loving, and passionate. In her final Insta post from late last year, she continued her streak of spreading positivity, and wrote:

“OVE & FAITH ~my 2 favorite words that I carry strongly in my heart which I desperately needed to get thru this incredibly difficult year. Life seemed unbearable at times but I adapted the attitude of a “female warrior” to face them head on fearlessly but always had the biggest smile and big fat laughters! Strength, courage, n bravery is within all of us so use them. U will gain most precious “Wisdom“ which will change ur perspective on life from here onward.”

She continued on to share her big plans for the upcoming year:

“Be a hungry mind that constantly wanna learn n grow and to gain a treasure chest of wisdom. My goal in 2023 is to share my life story n how i faced major life changing hurdles n still manage to keep a positive attitude. I am happy to say I am finally living the real me. It’s the best feeling n I’m grateful everyday to be alive n I get to share my thoughts with u.”

The singer reminded her fans to be themselves and be the “boss” of their own lives:

“My dear friends… Be U n Live U! Remember there’s only 1 of u in the world, u r one of a kind. Life can be too short so dare to dream big! Everything in life is a choice so choose what brings u joy n meaning. Say bye bye to 2022, n farewell to all the shit that happened. In 2023~Live a life of good intentions, truth, have faith in what u do, SMILE n choose happy!!! Be a winner, not a victim. Don’t take things personal, never judge a book by it’s cover, do care about the suffering of others n try to help if u can, love our Mother Earth, be a good listener, gain wisdom, and have abundance of love to give to others. Be the boss of ur own life.”

CoCo wrapped things up by sharing words of encouragement:

“Stand up for something u believe in. Be an influential figure to inspire people. And keep Spreading LOVE & POSITIVITY everywhere. I’m a female warrior baby! Just like The Great Wall of China I will never fall. If I can overcome anything, so can u! You are not alone, no matter how hard life gets, I’m with u.”

The 48-year-old also shared one last voice message with her fans on Chinese social platform Weibo, the very day of her suicide attempt. In Chinese, she said:

“My dears, I am Coco. I’ve felt the love and support that everyone has shown me, and then… you guys are on my side, bolstering me up, um, I will continue fighting on. And… in this, in this period of time, I hope that you guys will be healthy and happy too. I really miss everyone, [and] I am working real hard.  Um, miss you all, I really miss you guys as well. Love you, love you!”

Listeners noticed how she started to get choked up for a bit before recollecting her thoughts, once again reminding them to be “happy and healthy too.” During the final heartbreaking seconds of the voice memo, CoCo said in English:

“Thank you so much for the gifts. Beautiful and very thoughtful. Love you guys.”

Just hours later, she would be in a coma, and days later she would be gone… so heartbreaking.

Rest in peace, CoCo.

If you missed the breaking news, the pop star was spotted on Wednesday night at the celeb hotspot Catch inside the Aria Hotel in Sin City. There, she saw San Antonio Spurs rookie superstar Victor Wembanyama signing autographs for fans and wanted to go say hello herself. But when she approached and “tapped him on his back, right shoulder,” she was allegedly slapped and knocked to the ground by an aggressive security guard, identified as Spurs’ Director of Team Security Damian Smith. All this according to various TMZ insiders.

After the incident, Brit returned to her table and Damian later apologized to her, insisting he was just doing his job and that he did not recognize her. Paps caught the singer and her husband Sam Asghari leaving the restaurant soon after and the 41-year-old ended up filing a police report. Initially, though, TMZ‘s law enforcement sources claimed the case was “not being handled as a criminal matter.” But with more and more details coming to light, this seems to be changing!

So, for starters. What really happened? An eyewitness is now speaking out about what did and didn’t go down during the unexpected altercation. Brian Grajales, a Canadian who was outside the restaurant at the time of the incident, told TMZ on Thursday that he saw Britney approach the French baller, possibly because she wanted to take a photo with him. He claims she “infiltrated” her way into his inner circle before leaning in and — using a British accent — said, “Excuse me, sir … excuse me, sir.” The Grammy winner then touched the athlete’s shoulder and that’s when the head honcho backhanded her in the face!

While one law enforcement source previously told the outlet that Damian hit Britney’s hand and then her hand hit her face, Brian disagrees. He insists the guard “turned around and slapped her across the face.” He also noted that her sunglasses fell off, but he could not remember if she fell to the ground as reports have claimed since there was so much commotion. He does remember her going “to the side and hunch over.”

In photos obtained by the outlet, Britney and Sam could be seen walking behind Victor and his security team just before the incident. You can see those snapshots HERE.

After this startling ordeal, the fan then claims the Toxic artist was being walked out of Catch and screamed (in her British accent):

As mentioned, new reports are now revealing the case is reportedly under investigation. An insider high up in the Metro PD told TMZ there is a criminal investigation open and they are taking the incident “as serious as a heart attack.” The case will “likely” be referred to the District Attorney for review, as well, but that doesn’t mean any criminal charges will be filed.

This, of course, is contradictory to the outlet’s first sources, who believed nothing was to come of the police report. Interestingly, Vegas police were spotted in the hotel on Thursday morning, reportedly walking through the lobby to go up to the Crossroad alum’s suit to interview her about the situation. We hope Britney is feeling okay after this intense interaction and that this all gets sorted out quickly!

What heartbreaking news… CoCo Lee has died at just 48 years old.

The Chinese-American pop diva, known best for her award-winning A Love Before Time from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and as the voice of Mulan in the Cantonese version of the Disney hit, took her own life after a series of health issues.

Devastating.

This all comes as CoCo was in the middle of recovery from major leg surgery. She had to learn to walk all over again after a procedure to fix an old injury. In a post in February she explained how in an October 2022 dance practice she aggravated her old leg problems. She had been born with defect in her left leg — something her parents tried to fix with surgery when she was just two years old. Unfortunately it didn’t work, and she was forced to support herself on her right leg her entire life.

In March, she told fans she finally got a “successful surgery” to correct it. She explained at the time:

“Even though I’m in a lot of pain and I have to relearn how to walk again, I know I can do it. Yes, I can and I will. Thank you, everyone.”

It was an uphill battle for certain, but it sounds like it was one she was ready to face.

Unfortunately there is no surgery to correct depression. You can achieve so much success and accomplish so much, as CoCo did, and still have to struggle. As her sisters added:

“CoCo is also known to have worked tirelessly to open up a new world for Chinese singers in the international music scene, and she went all out to shine for the Chinese. We are proud of her! Although CoCo stays in the world for not long a time, her rays of light will last forever!”

CoCo is survived by husband Bruce Rockowitz and her two adult stepchildren. Our hearts are with her family at this time.

But now, at a show this past weekend in El Lay, the I’m A Mess singer proved that she’s not only resilient AF, but also smart about how she’s performing in front of crowds from here on, too!

On Friday night, Bebe took to the stage at The Wiltern in the Koreatown area of Los Angeles. During the show, which was the latest stop on the singer’s Best F*n Night Of My Life tour, she rocked a pair of sexy sheer protective eyeglasses to perform for the crowd.

The safety glasses looked good along with her sparkly dark blue top, sexy satin pants, and matching gloves. But they also served a very specific purpose — they protected her eyes from any future phone tosses and hid her still-recovering injuries from the crowd!

As Perezcious readers will recall, a 27-year-old New Jersey man named Nicolas Malvagna was taken into custody over the original phone-throwing incident in the middle of last month. He was arrested after being pointed out in the crowd as the alleged smartphone hurler at Bebe’s NYC show at The Rooftop at Pier 17.

Cops quickly booked him in jail on assault charges, which now continue to wind their way through court. And not long after the incident, he reportedly offered a bizarre motive for doing the alleged deed in the first place.

The 64-year-old queen of pop was briefly hospitalized over the weekend after falling ill with a “serious bacterial infection.” The good news is that she is already back home and resting, per doctor’s orders, but her condition sounds very severe. According to some sources, the infection reportedly grew worse as Madonna chose to ignore her month-long symptoms and focus all her energy on prepping for her upcoming tour — putting in 12-hour days and working until 3:30 in the morning!

On Friday, a friend of the Queen of Pop’s told Page Six that Madonna “has always been a perfectionist” when it comes to her work, sharing:

“She is the one constantly pushing herself, but she has to realize that, while she is as good as the people she is working with, many of them are a fraction of her age and without her history of injuries. […] Of course, there are other acts older than her still on the road, but they aren’t dancing and performing like she does.”

That said, the insider stressed that the kind of infection Madonna contracted was NOT due to the rehearsals, saying:

“But while this sort of illness could affect anyone of any age — and she certainly did not bring this on herself — it is also a reminder that she is as human and as frail as the rest of us.”

Madonna, on the other hand, seems to think she’s invincible. Or she did before she got sick! Some sources told the outlet the Material Girl artist was insisting on longer rehearsals, even against the better judgment of those around her.

Discussing why the tour is so important to the Grammy winner, her bestie dished:

“She knows how much her fans [have] been looking forward to this retrospective tour — it’s sold out around the world — and she wanted to give them her best. She really led the way for shows which were as aesthetically entertaining as musically and she doesn’t want to disappoint her fans. But she maybe has to learn that while she has incredible stamina, she demands too much from herself.”

At the end of the day, her fans just want her to be happy and healthy! Her well-being is all that matters now. When the time is right and she is back to full strength again, we have no doubt she’ll put on an incredible concert!! Speaking of, a source close to the production said the rehearsal schedule was actually designed to simulate the hours the performer would be working during the tour. Because of this health challenge, the friend thinks they will need to add more “rest days” into the travels:

“They were going in hard because they wanted to see if she could handle performing most nights — now they are going to have to rethink the whole schedule.”

They added:

“If they need to take more dates out, they will. The most important thing is she recovers well and doesn’t get ill again on the tour.”

Yikes! ANOTHER musician has been injured while performing on stage!

In the latest string of artists getting attacked by fans in the audience, Kelsea Ballerini was forced to stop her show in Boise, Idaho, on Wednesday night when she was struck in the face with a flying object.

In a video of the moment, the country artist can be seen singing her hit If You Go Down (I’m Goin’ Down Too) and playing guitar when she appears to be hit near the eye. Many believe it may have been some kind of bracelet that struck her. Kelsea quickly turned her back to the audience and her band members came to her assistance, but the injury was bad enough she had to walk off stage for a few minutes!

They added later in the night:

“What we know at this point is that she is back on stage and okay. But please know that if you do this, you’re the reason why we can’t have caps on our water bottles.”

As Perezcious readers know, the actor fell ill while in Atlanta, Georgia filming his upcoming Netflix movie, Back In Action. It just so happens to be Cameron’s first film back in nearly a decade after taking time to “focus” on her family, so it’s a big deal! Unfortunately, production on the film — which was “intense and pretty grueling” for the leading lady — wrapped up in a frenzy!

Back in April, Jamie was hospitalized after suffering a “medical complication” on set, according to his daughter, Corinne Foxx. But aside from insisting he’s on the mend, the family has shared very little about what happened or his current condition. This has left everyone feeling very uneasy about the situation, including Cameron!

On Tuesday, a source told People that The Holiday alum is “shocked and saddened by Jamie’s health crisis.” Reflecting on what it was like to be on set at the time of the incident, the source noted:

“One day they were working together, and the next he was just gone.”

Now, of course, Jamie is still very much alive — even though that quote sounds very dire! But the sentiment is clear. After hitting pause for a few days at the time of the hospitalization, the crew behind the action comedy film was able to finish its final days of filming using a stand-in for the Django Unchained star’s remaining scenes. So, we’re sure the mood on set was very somber, and if nobody knew what was going on with Jamie, then it must have been tough to see someone fill in for him.

Unfortunately, despite Cameron’s best efforts to lend her co-star a helping hand, she hasn’t been able to offer him any assistance during this health emergency. The insider explained:

“She wanted to be supportive and help out in any way, but his family has kept his status very quiet.”

That’s for sure. The last we heard from the Foxx family, Corinne took to Instagram last month to confirm her dad was no longer in the hospital and was even “playing pickleball” amid his recovery. That said, Mike Tyson has since claimed the 55-year-old suffered a stroke and that “he’s not feeling well.” But in a follow-up statement, Mike quickly walked back everything, calling it “hearsay,” adding:

“I have no idea what happened to him.”

Huh…

According to TMZ, Jamie has been receiving care at a Chicago-based specialist rehab and treatment center. But, again, it’s unclear what he needs treatment for. We continue to keep him and his family in our thoughts and wish for a full recovery.

As we all know, the Hips Don’t Lie singer broke up with her longtime partner, Gerard Piqué, last June after reports claimed he was cheating on the pop star with (his new girlfriend) Clara Chia Marti. But the time period was also incredibly stressful for the artist when her father, William Mebarak Chadid, ended up in the hospital!

Now, in a new cover story with People en Español out on Monday, Shakira is opening up about what it was like to navigate the difficult time in her life. According to her, her dad came to visit Barcelona to “console me after I was consumed with sadness because of my separation” but he wound up getting “gravely injured in an accident” during her eldest son Milan’s first communion. She shared:

“Everything happened at once. My home was falling apart. I was finding out through the press that I had been betrayed while my dad was in the ICU.”

Just one of these incidents would have been bad, but all at once?! It’s a literal nightmare.

Sadly, the performer felt like she couldn’t “survive” everything that she was going through at the time, and she found it particularly hard not to be able to speak to her “best friend” (AKA her dad) for advice. Aw!

Thankfully, William is on the mend, but his recovery has been “very hard and slow.” The Zootopia alum was able to celebrate his 91st birthday in September, though. She noted:

“He has overcome COVID once, two accidents, one pneumonia and five surgeries—all of this at 91 years of age, in less than six months. My dad is the biggest example of resilience, and my mother has been by his side day and night. They have both been a reflection of that dream that didn’t come true for me. But I hope they are role models for my kids of love, of patience in relationships, of absolute devotion and zest for life.”

Whoa. Poor William has been through SO much! We are so glad he is okay and are sending him lots of love and healing vibes as he continues to recover. As for Gerard and Shakira’s kids, 9-year-old Milan and 7-year-old Sasha, they have moved to Miami with their mother to start fresh. It’s been a hellish year for the whole family, so hopefully this summer treats them better! Thoughts? Let us know (below)!
